The sod beneath her paws grew more foreign as the days carried on; frustration and impatience seemed to accompany her more often than any being. Long limbs carried her swiftly over the trails she had grown up with and even worn into the earth herself. She needed to get away for a time. Opalescent gaze cast to the side; wisdom told her the companion that shadowed her was of her own creation but where one fails perhaps the other is free to succeed. Death was a silent creature and perhaps it entertained her thoughts and ideas more willingly than others. She felt a weakness from within and only she could rip it out and cleanse herself. It gnawed at her patients but she would figure out how to cure the weakness and ensure it never spread.
She was transfixed in a deep thought, she hungered for something new and wasn’t certain how long she could remain here. Sekhmet stopped twisting her bodice scenting the air, something was strange and new; it was out of place. Bicolored limbs carried her forward with great haste rather than the leisurely pace she had grown accustomed to in the fields. She was almost in a full sprint until the scent was freshest and engulfed her. Her tongue lolled out over sharp teeth as she slowly closed the rest of the distance.
A deep growl reverberated from her chest and into the air around them; her tongue no longer hanging passively for they had quickly been replaced by her fangs. Sekhmet looked over the black and white male with curiosity. Her head lowered instinctively over her throat and opalescent eyes cast a cold gaze of judgment over the stranger. He was trespassing her small patch she made her den, not an act she didn’t do often but this was her home and she detested missing details like a stranger within the walls of her home. Perhaps he was no threat but she felt compelled to tail him and see. Even try and find out what he was here for.
