It was the thudding of hooves that altered her to snap her head up, a golden streak of a wolf crossed the path of the angry goat with a snarl and bark as it turns and moves back to its herd. The male turned to her but her lips peeled back and ears fell in fear as she bad away. “I…I was just looking for food. Beast come out at night I just wanted food I wasn’t trying to trespass.” Her words came out rushed and almost as gibberish to one who wasn’t concentrating hard enough to hear her. She knew she was fairly large for her age but the journey wasn’t as safe for an injured wolf. She hated feeling like a coward but perhaps one must use what tactics they could to survive.
She took a moment to let herself back away as her features relaxed and she looked at him thoughtfully but with her muscles taut in case she needed to run not yet willing to relax in his company yet. “You saved me from the angry goat, why? I mean thank you.” She muttered softly over her own words she wasn’t one to make herself overly noticed so she kept her tail low and her gaze lower only cautiously lowering her head to protect her throat. The male seemed kind enough but she knew she was wrong for trespassing still, could she really be blamed for wanting to grab something small rather get attacked by a beast in the wilds?
A shift in her tail, a small wag, trying to encourage her harmlessness. “I really didn’t intend to cause your pack any trouble. My name is Inara.” She lifted her gaze ever so slightly to get a better look at the male before dropping it once again. “May I finish eating? I will share it with you mister um…” She mumbled her words softly once more waiting to hear what the male had to say. She talked a lot more for her own good she supposed but it was a nature she couldn’t really help when she became nervous. Still, perhaps it would be something she could learn to control some day.
