Gosh could this boy be any more of a BRAT?

For a moment I am taken aback by his statement, ears flipping back and I feel a growl of resentment building. I was NOT fat. I was just a bit stocky, quite like my mother in some aspects, but that meant I would be powerful. That I contained much strength within me. I wasn't some.. some.. WISP of a thing like him. Fading away with starvation and pretending to not be hungry. I could practically see the hunger burning from his eyes. "Am not," I grouse before shrugging his annoying comment away. Maybe he was vain or something. Vanity seemed to be a thing in vast commodity around these parts.

Still, I can't forget my mischievous mission!

So I continue to prattle about food, noting the way he reluctantly trails me, and I see a twitch in his eye when I mention fawn. Fawn was good and all but I take it he really liked it. I preferred the taste of prairie dog or aged deer meat but to each his own. "The deer there are so slow and stupid," I talk aimlessly. "But the bison! I want to hunt one soon. I don't like them." I don't think Nike cares, honestly, and maybe that is why I just continue my spiel. Doubtful the brute is even listening to me. I imagine fawn legs sprawled around him and the boy in heaven and suddenly break out giggling, casting a mirth-filled pair of eyes in his direction before leading him across Asteraian borders. He probably thinks I'm crazy. Well, I am, kind of.

Yet when I triumphantly dart behind him he seems to think shouting and running at the border will stop me, but each time I lunge in his path, ears back and wicked grin on my face. Is it bad I think this is all so FUN? I feel as if I am the cleverest wolf in the whole of the plains at the moment and store away this memory to tell Pine when I visit her. "Just stop," I groan when he tries again, noting the way his breathing seems to become erratic. One ear flicks forward, the other remains back, and I open my lips a bit and furrow my brows. "Hey, chill out Nike. It isn't like I'mma make you hunt or anything. You can still have the food you want. You aren't like.. my SLAVE or anything. Just a visitor with restricted privileges." I grin once more at my last bit, head jolting up and chest puffing out as my tail rises.
