Another bite is taken from the meal by my paws and I look at her, happy with her company. A pack’s size is not really something that amazing for me, but somehow that makes me a little proud of her and just speaking to her. It was nice. That meant she wasn’t just a random wolf. A royal wolf was talking to me and that had to mean something, right? I then ask her about her pack size. It was a nice question, not meant to insult or anything, but curiosity. She told me it just was, looking up.
My form took a moment to stand up, bringing my rabbit with me and approaching her slowly to put the rabbit down by our paws and lifting my muzzle to look up as if looking for whatever she was looking at. I knew she was just in a moment of contemplation, but I couldn’t let this pass, heh.
“Yeah, the sky is kind of blue… A little too bright to keep looking at. A little boring. Just… blue…” I told her softly, looking her in the eyes and smiling, sitting down and waving my tail. After telling her my story she asked me what I was born to do. I thought for a little.
“I really don’t know. But I’ve been told so many times that I was born to be the hope. Just… Don’t know what it means” I said gently “But I’ll find that out about that too…”
There we are, both of us need to find out about things. She tells me about her parents. It’s a delicate thing, so we move to another thing.
“My Krypton pack will have to wait.” Chuckling “That would be an awesome pack, though! First thing I would order is for them to find out how big was the pack… Measures would never be a problem again.”
She winked and I wagged my tail. Then something I didn’t expect. She offered me a place in her pack, even if not permanent and I chuckled as she told me about the bison hunt and the Prairie dogs. That was what I needed.
“Well, I’ll tell you what… I go to your pack and will find out how big it is, taking my own body as measure. But then you’d have to call it Krypton units. Bet your pack is no more than 15 kryptons…“
I laughed a little, accepting her invitation.
“And as thanks for offering my place… I offer my meal, heh… If you’d like to take a few bites…” I told her gently.
