Vasily continued to stare at his pathetic, simpering form, air blowing out through her nostrils hot and heavy. When her eyes, however, met his gaze of milky white, she felt the breath catch deep in her throat. She regretted the harshness of her words almost instantly as he scrambled away with a stuttered explanation for his actions. The girl wanted to take a step forward and perhaps not apologize for the sentiment behind her words but the way that she had said them, but she felt as though her paws were rooted to the ground beneath them. She could hardly think past the whirling emotions that seemed to permeate every inch of her headspace. Despite every attempt she made to clear her head, she could not, and this... boy clouded it. She was just thinking the other day on the uselessness of boys and now one had come and flipped her upside-down.
Her ears pressed flat against her head as she stared at him. "Thinking about what?" The girl demanded, stamping her paw against the ground defiantly. "You are doing too much thinking, because you have taken away my ability to think. So stop that." It was a useless request, and she knew it, but Vasily was still young and did not understand everything as much as she purported to. She knew what had happened, or at least she could assume, but she was definitely not going to admit it to herself. She was not even going to think of the word. If she could think at all. A small growl came from her muzzle and she shook her head angrily as if that would clear the mental fog that had seemed to settle over her.
His words were, at the very least, a distraction. Vasily's gaze fell upon his own of milky white, and while she was sure there was some wolf out there with white eyes, she knew that his were sightless. Somehow she simply knew and it was a strange feeling, one that was wholly unappreciated. "You are blind, aren't you?" She did not wait for a response to her question before continuing. "I suppose I am obligated to help you get home now. Where do you live?" Her words were said with a sigh behind them, but truly she found herself not minding the responsibility. Perhaps along the way she could teach him the virtues of strength, he would need them if he was going to keep part of her soul.
