They liked being close to other wolves, she answers. Of course, Cori hadn't expected an answer to his question at all, but it catches on him. Did he not like being around other wolves? Clearly he enjoys them to some extent, he liked this girl.. he even touched her and accepted her touch, so he certainly was not shy. Why did he not want to join a pack, and have this interaction in endless quantities? Did he want to join a pack? Was it he, that was not wanted?

"Oh I've had many invitations to join packs! So we're both weirdos." Cori giggles, even as he lies. He had no invitations to join any packs. The claim makes his mind rest though, as long as she did not think he was unwanted, then he could reinforce that belief in his own mind. In a way that was very much like himself, he pushes the negative thought to the very back recesses of his mind, with all the other bad things, and ignores it.

He has enough distractions here, anyways, to make that a very easy task. "A meteor? Can we go? Can we?" His excitement brings him to his feet, and he begins to bounce around much like the other wolf. "Or... or maybe the cave! No.. we should save the cave for daylight." It wasn't dark yet, but he imagines by the time they would reach the cave, it would be dark. That wasn't the place to be in the dark, right? Sometimes he had some sense to him. Just not very often. "If we go to the meteor place now, maybe something will glow in the dark, and we'll find some sort of alien stuff." His tail flicks back and forth at a fast pace, making his whole body shake.

Suddenly he gets serious, and he tries to meet Panik's eyes. "Hey.. you're really cool. By the way. I'm glad we met." It's only a moment that the seriousness lasts, and in something like a whiplash moment he's back to the excited puppy from before.
