Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Those who can't sacrifice anything, can never change anything

Emil didn’t want to hold off on this journey any longer. Atlas had found their sister alive… and well, not entirely well but she was not herself. He had found her close to Glorall, and so perhaps it might have been trespassing but Emil thought it was time to go see for himself. He swam the barrier between the two packs and stood along the border for a time feeling uneasy. He wasn’t sure what it was but something smelled of blood. Emil swallowed heavily, taking steps to ensure his scent remained billowing towards the land he had come from and all scents were pushing towards him instead. In this position he hoped that no one would detect his trespassing, he wasn’t sure what he gained to find, but it had to be something… someone who knew Paravana. However, the smell of blood, it was thick and nearby. His heart pounded in his chest as the assassin moved his way though the lands searching for the source and he didn’t have far to go.

The scene was horrific, but there was no mistaking the chocolate and golden form of Para even after all these years. She lay in a pool of her own blood though even from this distance he could still see the soft rise and fall of her sides. His heart felt like it broke, his voice was dead and the golden and russet male was moving fast towards her, abandoning all reason to get to her side. She might have forgot him after all this time but never could he forget her, her love of songs and stories from when they were little. It was only when he came closer that he noticed the darker pelted girl at her side sitting there far to calmly to be normal. She could hear the girl speaking but didn’t make out the words she spoke to her. He could feel the pressure and hear his heart beating in his ears. He was supposed to be calm, not be panicking as he was but he couldn’t help it. She was his sister, memories gone or not, she was his sister!

What was worse now that he was close he could hear her his dying sister muttering things about Diveen, their parents, their brother and…. him. She remembered, was… was that why she was like this now? ”Para… Paravana!” He knew the instant he was upon her touching his nose to her own check and muzzle that he was far too late to do anything to save her. ”Para… I’m here, it’s Emil.” He reminds her just to be certain. He just wanted to fling his body over her, to protect her, he had no idea why this girl wasn’t doing anything, looking at her, taking in what he could of her scent over the blood he could tell she was his niece… what was wrong with her!? Didn’t she know her mother was dying!?

His bright blue and opalescent eyes landed on the girl for a moment before again moving to Paravana. Why? Why hadn’t he come sooner? ”We- we got to get you home.” He says clenching his teeth in an effort to keep the tears and helplessness from over taking him. She wouldn’t make it… he knew it she wouldn’t… how could he get her over the river and not finish her off even if he went the most shallow way. He felt part of him shatter… even with her gone at least she had been alive and now. He didn’t know what else to do but stand there and make sure she knew she was loved by her true family as she passed into the next world. Then… someone would pay.
