I have finished all my tasks for Halcyon, and Lady Aster. Now all I need do is report to him and let him know of my success with Diveen and her what Solstice had told me. It was… enlightening to say the least, though that information was safely tucked into the back of my mind as I walked around searching for Halcyon. I felt a bit nervous during the winter. I know I will likely never leave Asteraia if I can help it during the cold months. My mother’s rape certainly made me nervous ever since I experienced my first winter as a full fledged adult and felt what changes it caused me and those around me I am always cautious with wandering far. Though I guess even my mother was not far from home when my father apparently preyed upon her. My luck seems to turn around during the winter too… perhaps it’s some horrible omen that someday all my missing bad luck for winter will come crashing down on me… Or there could be a simpler explanation in that I am so guarded I am aware of everything far more than normal. I would like to think it’s that and not some storm of bad luck eventually planning on raining down on me, but I will remain guarded nonetheless and stay within Asteraia during this time of year.
Little did I know that men had trouble too. I walk with my tail firmly placed downwards though the rest of me remains fairly confident. I stride through the lands looking around until I see something most odd in the snow. It was Halcyon, I was certain of it his face was burried in snow and for a moment I wonder if he had fallen into a snowbank. No, certainly not, that didn’t seem right but I didn’t expect him to be diving for voles either. He had his own pack, with hunters to feed him now, he didn’t need to feast one voles surely? I walk up, but it seems as though he doesn’t know I am here yet, he remains slightly limp buried in the snow. ”Lord Halcyon? Are you alright?”
I wait then for him to do… something. He’s breathing seemingly find and alive and aware, but why was he doing that. I couldn’t begin to figure it out at all. Arching one of my brows at him and letting my blue and red eyes wander the snowing plains seeing nothing he could have tripped on. Even his paws in the snow seemed firmly placed. Did he do this to himself? ”I came with news regarding an alliance with Diveen if you wish to hear it? Or… should I come back later?” I really am not sure what to make of him, this certainly wasn’t very… kingly but it wasn’t exactly something any normal wolf would do either. Well all I could do was stare and wait and see if he was receptive to news unaware that perhaps my presence could make his life even harder.
