The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

She was very curious, so much so she felt herself hanging on every word of the black patched wolfess as she spoke. The moss and ferns even could be useful for healing. Moonstone never thought about how the moss down here though would be better than the moss up on the surface. She greedily stored whatever information was given to her though she wanted more to further ameliorate the feeling of uselessness and desire she had towards learning such a skill. ”I see.” The girl replied softly watching as she finished gathering up what she had and placing it into her pelt. It was wrapped around her in a way she hadn’t seen before but that aside she wanted to know more and learn more. Getting the details only made Moonstone more excited about the prospect of maybe randomly finding herself a teacher.

Once Moonstone gave her name she was happy to see that the wolfess didn’t think ill of her for being so excited about other things. Her tail waved as the female introduced herself as Anatola, Ana, she thought about mentioning how her siblings and others sometimes called her Moony, but she was so eager to continue on with the talk of healing that the thought of saying something bounced from her mind almost as fast as it entered. She was still young after all, and excited and eager to figure out such things about herself and the skill she had been wanting to learn for so many years. ”It’s a pleasure, Ana.” the large wolfess finally says dipping her head politely to the female before redirecting her attention quite eagerly to the task at hand.

”Oh! Well I know some of the lands, but not really where much of the healing plants are. If you would like a bit of a guide.” She offers a bit nervously. ”I would be no help in finding them, but I can offer you some protection while you look and make sure we don’t wander into another pack’s territory or something. Then… maybe along the way I can learn too?” She poked out there so gently she wasn’t sure how it would be taken. She wanted to learn but she didn’t barely know what the first plants looked like. Sure she knew poppy seeds helped pain and super basic stuff like that but where did you get them? What did the plant look like? There were so many blanks that needed to be filled and she hoped maybe Ana would be open to help fill them.
