Solstice smiled warmly at Jinx as the other female started to relax and shift into a more friendly stature. It was obvious she was on a mission, the topic of which Solstice would let her bring up in her own way with mild prompting. She was sure, on some level, she had nothing to hide from this semi-stranger. Jinx would not be interested in why Solstice felt too cold or why she feared for her brother. The deeper and inner workings that dulled the girl’s usually bright eyes were not polite conversation upon introduction. It was easy to be pleasant when her mind was a mess, she could focus on helping Jinx with whatever it was she wanted from her.
Creamy head tilted to the side in consideration at the question. It was more complicated than a simple answer and with more layers than she could count. If there was something specific about the question Jinx wanted, Solstice was oblivious to what it could be. The same question could have been asked about her, or any other new wolf in the realm of Asteraia. Not entirely. she answered softly, almost hesitantly. I was adopted by Zeltzin and raised there, but my father lived and raised my siblings here. Most of them are still here. Taviora is a large pack, I was, am, growing older and wanted to move on. Halcyon is my Imprint and was open to me coming here. He had ranks to fill and wanted help with his pack. I thought I would be able to contribute. I guess I left to make a life for myself and Asteraia seemed as though it would be a good place for me to do so. Her voice was light and soft, the conversation coming easily from her. She was transparent and honest. Her thoughts shifted and her smile faltered for a moment. I also wanted to be around my brother and other siblings. I did not get to know them well while I was in Taviora. Thoth had continued to decline even after she had come to the plains. His descent continued to unnerve her, increasing her concern for his wellbeing. Her chest fluttered with momentary panic at the thought.
