Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

FORTUNE FAVORS THE BOLD - Eden/task related

One could not say that I was swift in my pace of things yet I moved inexorably closer to my goals each day. Healing was an art that could not be rushed and while I had checked on Ehiyeh and her pups in the most usual sense of healing there were other factors that made me keen to keep an eye on them. So I did throughout the season, in no rush to bother Eden about a rank for I was still learning and ascertaining my strengthens. Hadrian had taught me much and the lessons had been invaluable. One couldn't stamp a GOOD TO GO sticker on a wolf and expect it to stick - one must make sure all truly was well.

Finally now with my shaggy winter coat and a den full of stored herbs and pouches, I was ready. I wasn't a clever tracker with wolf scents but I could detect the faintest hints of the plants I often cultivated. Much died in winter but some mosses still clung desperately to the rocks and roots of trees around the raging river. Only the edges were coated in ice for the water moved too swiftly to be completely frozen. I meandered alongside it for a time, careful to keep several feet between the dangerous edges for my fear of drowning. Deep water scared me after having saved Thor as a child, a secret I never shared with anyone.

I deviate from my path and travel further inland, weaving through well used pathes and heading towards an area of Glorall that Eden frequented. He is not hard to find for he is King and likely cannot hide even if he chose to. I smile politely as I stop a few feet away in respect, dipping my head before peeking up at him. "Sir Eden, I've completed the task you have to me. I checked on Ehiyeh and her pups and have watched them over the last season - they've grown quite robust. I do worry for their mental health however. Having only a mother is a hardship upon such young ones but I have seen one of your sons helping. I encourage more male help so that they become well rounded in their thinking and training." I pause then, perhaps wondering if I've overstepped my bounds upon his family but then my nervous twitch of my tail stops and I seem to grow bolder. I was a healer, after all, and so just because it might seem untoward did not make it any less true.
