Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Winter brought upon a multitude of bad feelings. This place, it too brought upon bad feelings and yet she found herself here in what seemed like almost fate's design. Hot air blew through her nostrils as she traveled through the fields, her paws slogging through the snow. In truth it seemed as though something was lying in wait here, some terrible monster come to devour with sharp teeth and deadly claws. The snow, though, remained unperturbed, pure. It was not stained with red, no, not this winter. Ehiyeh's ears fell flat against her skull, because even though it had been an entire year since the event had occured, it still stuck with her like a thorn in her paw she could not rid herself of. No place was safe. He had even infiltrated her home, the very sanctuary she had tried to create, a space of safety that he had broken and shattered.

And he had given her children, children who were growing, growth that came with questions she could not bring herself to answer. Someday they would know, whether it was by her design or by somebody else's. Perhaps they would hate her for it, perhaps they would hate Eden for what he had done and yet the very thought of either of them taking his side disgusted her so fully that she felt she may need to vomit. A call distracted her. Ehiyeh had never been one for socializing, but something about the idea of a large group enticed her. Safety in numbers, perhaps, or to erase the memories of this place and replace them with something different lest she never be able to cross the fields again.

Her pace picked up, feminine form gliding across the snow. She cut a bit of a haggard figure, fur slightly unkempt and a bit skinny, but her piercing eyes and jutting curves made her attractive in a sort of untouchable way. Ehiyeh had never been one to press herself close to another, regardless, her children being the exception. Shadows hid right beneath her fur, should another brush it, they might escape to wreak havoc. They had once, when she had destroyed her trophies. The woman wanted nothing less than for something like that to happen again. She snorted softly upon approach, her body a bit rigid in the presence of so many other wolves, but she leaned forward slightly in curiosity.

She did not introduce herself but simply observed from the outskirts, ears flicking to catch each name as it was given, eyes of violet fire examining each stranger. Company had never been something that she had outright desired, but in each wolf was a longing for it in some regards. One could not fight instinct... her swollen stomach last winter and the pups who lay at her side each night were an example of that.
