To be fair, I wasn't quite alarmed by Halcyons repeated absences as of late. I had been busy in my own Queenly duties - even if some were not so Queenly. But Halcyon had risen me up to become a leader and it meant that I needed to take care of things so I did. I amused myself with my choices and kept others busy. After all, idle paws and all that jazz! It wasn't as if I was of declaring war or chasing people off - in fact I was bringing them in.

I had no clue what battles my mate was facing on a daily basis, or how my scent was enough to send him into a flurry of activity. My body had yet to mature in such a way and despite the sudden warmth I would get a few times a week or the restless itch within me, I never once considered that being in his prime might mean he had to fight urges. Truthfully it is a good thing lest I chase every eligible female from Asteraia to ascertain my status as mate. I trusted Halcyon and yet I held such a jealous beast inside of me I wonder how I had kept it so hidden from him.

He licks my cheek and I grin, nipping at his face lovingly, still quite enamored with the fact that we were allowed such free touches as mates. He eyes my prairie dogs and I grin mischievously, edging closer so that my taller shoulder brushes against him as I peel proudly at my pile. "They taste yummy cold or warm," I admit, thinking it is perhaps odd to enjoy them cold but not caring. Besides I know he is often busy and why couldn't I bring home meals to him? He deserved a little extra meat as well. I step back as he devours a small one, frowning slightly at his back because that is all he eats. "Are you not hungry?" I eye him critically - he is smaller than me now but still powerful and commanding to me.

I sit with a smile, beaming as I begin to talk. "I stayed the night there last night to spend some time with Pine." Only after this statement do my eyes flick curiously at him - he must not have noticed as he was so busy. "She is doing well and I needed to see home again." I realize I called Iromar home and my eyes skitter away from him then back, my words rushing out to cover up my faux pas. I didn't want him to think me ungrateful.

I fluff up proudly. "I've taken a guest for us named Nike for a few weeks times. Maybe he will stay once his time is up." Not likely, I grumble inside. "And I've been meeting the other wolves here. I've sent Elohim on a mission for me even though he isn't our pack." I pause then, turning my head slightly in an angle as I try to think. "Ummm I guess I should do more." I had thought I had done a lot but apparently not. "Oh I invited a boy named Krypto to visit whenever. Maybe we can lure him here and he can become pack." I grin widely then, tail wagging. "What have you been doing?"

Thoth - Advisor to Sekhmet - God of wisdom, reason, and secrets. This wolf is extremely loyal to the Pharaoh. They can make and block steals as well as accept challenges when Sekhemt and the Kuk are unable to do so.

Imhotep - Divine Priest - Spiritual Advisor to Sekhmet. You will make sacrifices to the gods in her name.
Amunet - The Heir - One who is hidden and her powers are connected to the words silence, stillness, mystery and obscurity.
Ma'at - Lead Diplomat - God of justice and order. You maintain peace and order within the pack and with those to whom we are bound.

Nephthys - Head Butcher - God of death and decay. You, mighty butcher, will be the artful assassin. Those marked should meet Anubis soon.
Set - Head Thief - God of chaos and change. Take everything that you need and a little extra to grow. The rest is tribute.
Horus - Head Hunter - God of good hunting. Great hunter, the feast will be plentiful when you step on the fields.
Isis - Head Healer - God of healing and protection. You mend the wounds and do not allow weakness to fester.
Seshat - Head Informant - God of knowledge. Gather information on our friends and enemies alike.

Scepters - Warriors - You will work closely with Sobek. Fight for your pack; you will often be asked to escort other members on outings when it is seen fit.
Kemet - Hunters - Working under the eye of Horus, you will ensure the pack is fed.
Medjay - Scouts - Show me, what bounties can you find for the gods? Report your findings to Seshat.
Snares - Thieves - The world is ours, let us reap from it. Learn your art from Set.
Heka - Healers - Work with Isis to heal wounds and ease pain; repair what is broken to the best of your abilities.
Scribes - Diplomats - You will work under Ma'at to complete the duties of mantaining peace within and outside of the pack.

Kith - Children of Asteraia - The youth are our future.
Kin - Unranked members of Asteraia - Those who have not yet chosen a specialty, or who do wish to.
