Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Talking to Eden was much easier than I thought it would be. He's so full of amusement in this time that I can't help but feel like I'm talking to a friend instead of my superior. He could have taken that in so many different ways and yet he chose to take it as a joke and then play off of it, something that Thor could appreciate. He wagged his tail and nodded his head vigorously.

"Yes, definitely a moose or something. Though not as smelly."

He wrinkled his nose at the thought of a moose the last time he was close enough to smell it. It was like they didn't actually bathe in the water they choose to drink or something. They always smelled like a mixture of something rotting and wet dog. He took hope from the new angle of the conversation. If Eden wanted to joke with him then that was a good thing right? Maybe he had done something right this time. Surely he could be of use to Glorall just as his parents before him. His loyalty lie here in Glorall. This was where his family roots were, where his sister was, where his heart was. His soul may be elsewhere out in Moladian but she was near. He could feel it. He couldn't think of anywhere else he'd rather be. He started to speak, wanting Eden to know just what went through his mind when he thought of being a diplomat versus being a fighter. It seemed he must not be too far off the mark because Eden was nodding in agreement.

He told Thor that he had a good mind and Thor smiled, his tail waving with confidence that Eden believed that. But then he remembered humility and dipped his head.

"Thank you."

That seemed like the polite thing to do. His head tilted in curiosity when Eden said that he didn't want to waste his mind. So what did he have in mind? He listened to the title and scowled thoughtfully. Had he seen that title offered before? He wasn't sure he remembered it being listed when the ranks were called out but then, he hadn't been to a pack meeting in a while. He finally smiled and nodded.

"I am definitely interested in this path. I would put my mind and body to any task you ask of me."

He pricked his ears and watched Eden closely. His alpha seemed to be thoughtful in this moment, his eyes narrowed as if thinking long and hard about something. Was he regretting offering this to Thor? He hoped not, his ears flickering uncertainly but he wanted to prove himself more than anything. He straightened, working on making his body language more sure. After all, Eden wouldn't want to grant such authority to someone who couldn't stand on his own four feet. He looked to meet Eden's gaze once more, his eyes hungry.

"I am ready and able for whatever comes next."
