It was hard not to sound serious when she had come to speak with her mother regarding her place and future within the pack. She had always spoke of their duty to the mountains and those residing under its protection with such solemnity she couldn’t help but place the loftiest weight upon it. Perhaps still accentuated further by the need to fill the broken promises she had made to herself to avenge the mountains when they had been taken from her family, an anger that still rose within her narrow chest to this day when she thought of it. It was the anger that had stopped her then just as it did now, the ability for such darkness a reminder only of a father she had never known and it was something that scared her to be honest.

Still she knew that their return had not been easy on her mother either for it had seemed to come alongside the loss of Jericho and her sister Sansa. It made her heart ache to know how much Daenerys no doubt missed them for Kalersu did as well, they were family after all, and it was one of the reasons she had never allowed herself much in the way of romance. Twice her mother had loved and twice been left broken by it thought anyone who did not know her well may never see it.

However the past is not what had drawn her here today and so she pushes back the thoughts that threaten to cloud her mind as she settles in next to the she-wolf who had ever been her idol. “You have always mentioned your desire for us to take up a mantle within the pack and that my brothers three are often more involved with one another to bother with anything else.” She laughed lightly, she was always willing to be a part of their band when offered but they had always been closest with one another. “I think it is time I do my part. I know you have named Nymeria as heir and I want to be there to help her when the time comes. I’d like you to consider me for the position of Hand.” It was a statement she had practiced in her den for weeks, trying to sound confident yet not overbearing was hard for the girl who knew she was ready for the task, but all she could do now was wait and see what her mother thought of the idea. Her moonlit gaze is steady and calm as she waits, for while she may never sit up on the throne of the mountains she would do her part to ensure someone of their blood always did.
