MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD,
Anger boiled deep inside the male. How dare she bring another brute into this pack, especially into her den. He was too enraged to think rationally and realize that she was not in the wrong here. Had he told her his feelings before then maybe it would have been him in Macaria’s den, instead of some stranger. The same irrational side of him was mad that she brought a stranger into this pack. What if he had been some kind of spy, trying to sabotage the pack. Sure there was no rule saying that someone couldn’t visit the pack as long as they were accompanied by a pack member, but there was no such rational thought in his head. Grey Wind’s vocals snarled out, demanding that she come out. When the female came out she was in a rage of her own. She was much smaller than he was, but she showed no fear around him. It was one of the things he had come to like about the new Macaria. Before she was afraid of everything, but now she was confident. Growls escaped from the femme against the male, her fur bristled in anger at being told to leave her own den.
It was clear that both wolves were mad. It was now just a question of whether or not violence would ensue. The two stared each other down. Had it not been Macaria he would have reacted differently to a pack member showing disrespect to him in that way. But this was what their relationship, or rather lack of one, was like now. The male had had the days where he overpowered and controlled her. But it was the fire inside her that had been the turning point of his feelings for her. Finally the female broke the tense silence, vocals spitting out in anger. “What the fuck gives you the right to command me around, Grey? Unless you are purely doing so as an alpha who needs me to do something for the pack, then I suggest you shut it!” The brute let out another growl, knowing he had to address the situation. He had called her out here, and he could not just ignore the situation as he had been for far too long. ”You are in no position to be questioning me or my actions. It is your job to obey. Unless you become alpha of this pack you will obey commands here.”
“As a Zeta, I have the right to lead outsiders into the pack. But that isn’t why you are mad, is it? It’s because you know why I led him in, what I did with him, what he did to me, isn’t it? Well then you should just walk away Grey – you made your position quite clear earlier, and have no right to be jealous or angry with me. I have been doing what I wanted with whoever I wanted, and will always continue to do so with or without a mate!” The femme let out a harsh laugh before continuing. Going on to blame him for what she had become. The alpha could not lie to her or himself and say that it was not himself. It was because of what he did that she had become addicted to poppy and lose function of her nerves and all feelings of pain. Guilt washed over him. Grey Wind wondered if he would feel bad if he had not fallen in love with her, but he was in love with her and that was facts. As she talked the femme was shaking, using her own claws to dig into her skin. The male knew that she couldn’t feel it, but there was still no need for her to do that to herself. He didn’t say much, but he managed to at last tell her to stop. His voice not as loud as before, but anger still behind it. ”Stop that. You’ve made it clear what the new you is about, there is no need for a demonstration.”
Grey Wind was in the same situation he had been since he realized he was in love with her. To tell her or not. For so long he had not told her, hoping things would just sort themselves out. But the feelings had not faded or gone away like he thought they would. And it was clear now that he needed to do something or it was just going to continue to escalate more and more. He was purposefully not addressing the second half of her words, about this male that apparently been able to please her in ways that he could not. Not could not, but had not. Because he was still avoiding the situation. But when the femme went to go back into her den, pained words escaped her and Grey Wind knew he had to do something. “Just leave me alone, Grey.” The male flinched at her words, as if she had hurt him physically. He forced himself to calm down. Yelling would not make this situation any better. Unsure vocals finally escaped him before she disappeared into her den, ”Macaria, wait.” He hoped that she would turn around, or at least pause her stride, but if it seemed that she was ignoring him, he would step forward and block her path. ”We need to talk. Things haven’t been good between us. I’m not…good at talking about this type of situation. But I’ve come to realize that I have certain…feelings…for you.” His words came out slowly, not because they were forced but because it was not something he had said before, words he had never said out loud even to himself. He knew he was still being vague and not necessarily making the situation better, but they had to start somewhere didn’t they?
