He was trying, but it was hard. He wanted to not stay in his den and cower from day to day, there was much of him that wanted to be free...but freedom was not so easy upon him. Fear clung to him like stickers in the grass- and with each step he would lose some and gain them once again. He didn’t know how to rid himself of these things. His sister and alpha were always very encouraging and very understanding...at least, they attempted to understand. Yet he felt no one understood, not even Undyne. He was alone in this mental war with himself, and today he battled through the darkness of his den into the light once again.
He was not a typical looking boy in that he was rather small, coupled with the fact that he kept himself pushed as close to the ground as he could. If anything, his leg muscles were somewhat more defined than the rest of him due to his constant need to crouch. He was putting on weight slowly, but there was still a somewhat sickly feel to him as he crouch in the gentle snow. He was certainly not at what would be his normal weight yet. Even though he was born small, a runt, he will still continue to grow to what is a normal size. He simply will not grow to be the size of either parents or his sister...or anyone in his line.
He was sitting a top a gentle here, crouched of course with his head low and forward. He liked it when the sun peeked over, and so far no one was really...around to startle him. The snow surrounded him on each side as he watched the sky intently with his mis-matched eyes. He blinks, twitches as he looks to his right. He swears that he hears a noise but his eyes find nothing of concern. It caused his tail to tuck tighter between his haunches.
Yet he hears something to his left and his muzzle of black and white dashes in that direction, suddenly seeing the woman of creamy gold. He finds himself leaning away from her with his ears pressing firmly on his head. His eyes do not leave her form. He stares intently at her, as if to assess if she is a threat. He was told this place was safe. That he would be safe here and no one would harm him...but how? No place is safe, not really, and that he learned early on in his young life. He felt himself frozen in place as she got a bit closer- she may not even realize he is there yet.
”H...H..Hey! D-d-don’t…” he says, probably a bit on the soft side, hit or miss if the female will hear him at all. He bites his lip, unsure of what to say.
”I...I...I will leave! D..Don’t hurt me!” he says as he backs up a bit more from her. His eyes do not leave her, continuing to assess if she meant him harm and if she will chase him when he tries to leave. A white paw pulls back, and then another, and then he trembles and falls backwards on the slight hill.
”AHHHHH!!” he yells out with his single tumble into the snow, his instinct to simply lay still and cover his eyes with paws kicking in once more.
