She watched the scene unfold perhaps it was the feeling of darkness that loomed around Sekhmet like a cloak that set off this reaction and perhaps not but the girl was spirited and almost spooked as if she had seen death itself and in a way perhaps she had or would soon. Her limbs were long enough to keep within close proximity to the female jumping like a threatened rabbit would from snapping jaws and if she had been a wolf for even maniacal humor she would be laughing but no smile ever broke across her maw, no, no laugh feel from her chest. Only a cold fire burned behind those opalescent eyes.

An ear flickered to the woodpecker sent the sporadic fem into a jump, her gaze had been caught and coiled muscle lunged at the smaller female teeth snapping on air. A deep growl overshadowed the defiance the stranger had shown perhaps she could have made it a quick death as she never really enjoyed playing with food. Sekhmet saw no need to posture only lowering her head slightly to protect her throat. The female easily had the lighter mass to outrun her but Sekhmet had all the strength. A wicked grin spread across her maw her brother's words and learning from the pact with death she calculated more than most would expect of a ravenous creature like herself.

A quick thought; a test and an offer. If not perhaps hungry jaws and death would make off with some sort of a prize. “Weak.” She hissed the words her eyes never divulging her now primary intentions. “Run? You. Are. Prey?” This hiss was held amusement and disgust all the same. “Prove. Worthy.” It was her challenge and chance. Having a mother formidable in combat combined with agility would be even more beneficial to her success. Hunting would be easier but the challenge would be making her adapt making her learn her ways, the way of her blood. To see the darkness and love it, to understand death and darkness should always determine fate. It would all be useless if she proved unworthy so test and she would test the female well.

Her frame was larger, she was a bigger target with easier places to latch onto but all same if she could get the smaller female to the ground she could steal everything from her. Sekhmet knew if the female ran it would be a hunt of drive that even a packs walls wouldn't deter her easily but perhaps the female before she wasn’t too weak to prove she was worthy of making a deal with. Perhaps something from the deep or even death hoped she would be a wolf to call her own. She needed to build a pack but never had room to invite those who didn’t belong under her gaze.

Eyes judged and look for weak spots in her opponent's defense. Waiting in anticipation was the worst feeling but one she loved so dearly for rewards. You must take. Sekhmet must take, and this wolf she was determined to take, be it by pact or by a feast. Her body coiled like the mighty cats did, ready to spring forward aiming to grasp the females right shoulder in an attempt to wrestle her into fighting close quarters. She needed to get a limb over her shoulders that was a determining factor but she knew to be mindful of her own retreat should teeth come to close to anything important her thick fur was always helpful in cushioning blows but, she must protect; her throat. limbs, ears, eyes, and tail with caution and care.
