It does not take too long until I see a dark, large form coming my way. He has something in his mouth, and it is something dead. Something I have never seen before. The way he walks is a bit...strange too, in fact, I get nothing but a strange feeling with this guy as he comes closer to me. I actually sorta feel my nerves getting to me and I tense up slightly. He does not...appear aggressive though. I am cautious of him, but I try not to judge too quickly. I mean, one has to judge if another is a threat, but otherwise? I gotta learn what makes someone tick. This guy seems weird to me, thus I think there is something to learn.
As he gets closer the smell begins to invade my nostrils. I mean, look, Iromar has some SMELLS, but this is pretty bad. My nose wrinkles slightly but I try my best to stop it. I don’t want to be rude, but this guy reeks. Look, I like to roll in the mud and get dirty. I enjoy all those things but I wash off every now and then. I am not sure if this guy has ever taken a bath. He drops the dead thing after he asks me what I wanted. I look down at the dead thing and my paw lifts up slightly in reaction. I have never seen that creature in my life.
I looked back up at him. Yeah, he is a mess. Matted hair. The smell. It smells of death. He carries a dead thing. He is so dark looking but perhaps he would be cute if he cleaned himself up a bit. But that is not what I am here for. I smile now, my tail starting to wag behind me. I always enjoy meeting new wolves, even if they are smelly.
”Hi there!” I say my voice nice and bouncy for the day. ”Oh, you see, I am here because I have something important to tell you, and well, everyone, who will listen,” I say with a nod. ”Oh I am Azariah! I am from Iromar. I am here because there have been some...disturbing things in Iromar as of late,” I say, my green eyes dropping down to look at the dead thing again. Pine told me to talk about moor monsters and stuff. I mean, we DO have gators but I guess that is not enough for Pine. I will have to uh, come up with some things.
”Moor monsters. You see, Iromar has swamps and moors and stuff, and there are these...muck creatures, I mean, there are different monsters that live there but, these moor monsters are like...big...slimy...blobs! Yeah, blobs! Green ones, with...5 eyes, and big teeth! They like to come out when it is raining, in groups of 2-4!” I say, my green eyes large and expressive as I explain these creatures to him. I honestly think if these creatures existed, they would smell like him, but I continue to battle through the smell and keep a smile on and a wag of my tail going, seeing what he thinks of these monsters I speak of. |
