It seemed Belhara was to escape him this winter but it wasn't for lack of trying. He had been on the hunt for her most of the winter but she always seemed to be around the stupid pups or something, like she was actually trying to take care of them or something. It was rather annoying when it got in the way of other things they could be doing, like picking up where they left off at the grotto. He still remembered her taste above all else and he was yearning for much more but with the passing of the seasons, he was finding that his craving for her only lessened a little. There would always be next year. Until then, he would up his game. He was here to stay and it would seem, so was she. He felt he had already made a rather good impression on the young queen so now he had time to spend on Belhara and completely winning her over, though he was fairly convinced she was already his by claim if nothing else. She just had to admit it. Meanwhile Boneskull was growing up rather well and he was looking all awkward and teenage-y so he was out on his own more, hunting for himself now and learning how to take care of himself. Cuirass still fed him when he felt the inkling just to remind the younger wolf what real wolf meat tasted like but he hoped in time, Boneskull would come to crave it on his own and maybe he would make a cannibal of him yet. The blood thing was a little slower coming but some had that gene and some didn't. He would be okay with Boneskull just being a cannibal if being a vampire wasn't in his genes.

The oncoming scent of a storm only made him restless but not in a bad way. He enjoyed the unpredictability of a good storm and all the chaos it could cause. He loved to watch teh steady streaks across the sky and wondered if Belhara liked them too. She was a star gazer or whatever after all. He was sure that Belhara must be having some lonely nights without him there to warm her up. He wanted to get her good and depressed before he made an entrance and became her knight in shining armor. He would be the perfect remedy to ease her suffering but she might have to beg for it first. Of course he wouldn't leave her begging for long. She was too pleasing to the eye for him to turn away for long. And he was too obsessive over his hunger for her and her companionship to stay away too long. He lurked in a tree not far from his den, watching the lightening with glittering blue eyes. He knew that a tree was not the safe place to be in a storm but he liked the risk, the feeling of adrenaline every time it crashed around him and didn't dare hit the tree where he sought shelter. It was dangerous and he loved it. But there was another kind of danger on the air tonight and he drank it in, watching her perfect silhouette draw ever closer to his den. He smirked, leaning closer on the tree branch to watch her with a hungry expression as he whispered more to himself than anything.

"Couldn't stay away, now could you, pretty?"

He watched her stand outside the entrance as if looking for him and his fur bristled with anticipation. She looked so mystical with the lightening striking all around her. She really was a sight to see. That was one of the many reasons she was destined to be his. He launched himself from the tree, landing right behind her as he lunged to nip possessively at her haunches as if driving her into the den.

"You should get to shelter, darling. The rain might dampen your beautiful coat and we can't have that, now can we?"
