When he started hearing rumors of a wolf that killed the alpha's son in Diveen, he found himself curious as he always is. The thing that stood out the most about these rumors though was not that the son was killed, but that his heart was taken from his chest. Now, Cuirass was aware that this could all have been crazy hearsay and maybe it wasn't even true. Maybe someone had heard he was killed and turned it into something way more exponential in the crazy department. But it hit him as strange either way. And then he started hearing ore rumors, rumors of the wolf who did it. They say she was a female and one that the son had taken hostage there. Then they said that he was imprinted on the female and so no one could understand how she was able to turn on him like that. And then the even crazier part....that someone believed she had eaten the wolf's very heart.

Well, he just had to dig deeper since he knew of only one other wolf that loved the taste of a wolf's heart. His mother, Seline. It was always her favorite part of a wolf and her and Eric loved to indulge in those. So it left him wondering since he knew his parents were long gone from this world. That left only a few other possibilities, mainly other cannibals in the area, or more possibly, a sibling. He hadn't heard of anyone descriptive of Kronos being in the area but he knew he still had sisters out there. There were far more girls than boys in their litters. When he saw his younger sister, Kattari, the puzzle pieces started to snap together and then he knew what he had to do. He was told to get other wolves here, other wolves like himself. It was a win-win. She might even like it here, with other wolves more akin to her exotic tastes. And then there was the part that if she were in fact the wolf who killed that male, then Diveen would surely be hunting her head. So since Diveen wasn't an ally of Iromar, he was within his rights to protect his blood by bringing her here for sanctuary.

Win-win, right? He knew exactly what he was doing by bringing Kattari to Iromar. Where better to hide a fugitive than the mysterious swamps? He wouldn't hand her over, that's for sure. They'd have to go through him first. And since they didn't know that he had stolen her or even the identity of the son's killer, the secret should end there. If anyone came looking, he wouldn't hesitate to lie for her. She was blood and that meant everything. He didn't know how Pine would feel about him taking her in but he would just mention to her that she had indeed told him to gather more wolves like himself. Kattari was a prime example of what Eric and Seline had raised. She was a cannibal like him, though he couldn't recall if she held the blood lust of a vampire within her as well as he did.

When he saw her waiting at the borders, his lips quirked into a lasy smirk, the blue eyes of his father shining brightly as he gave his tail a couple wags in greeting. He trotted over to meet her, stopping just short. His family wasn't the embracing sort but he was glad to at least know that it was indeed her. She had grown so much since the last time he recalled seeing her. Their family wasn't very close as far as the litters were concerned. Usually each was raised separately and then they went on their scattered ways once they were old enough. Eric and Seline were travelers and weren't the coddling type. But he still knew his siblings on sight. She had grown into a strong beautiful creature. Seline and Eric would be proud, he was sure. He tilted his head as he took her in.

"You've let yourself go a little, Kattari. We'll have to fix that while you're here. Now come on into the swamps before some spy from Diveen catches sight of you. I hear you've been a very naughty girl."

His smirk only widened, his eyes twinkling with mischief as he moved aside to let her come over the borders. From there, he would pick a pace to walk with her through the pack lands so they could catch up.
