This conversation probably would have been awkward between two adults but for Lucia, just to be in the company of another pup was too exciting to let anything ruin it, including their failed communication so far. She could just be here in silence with him and still be happy because she finally had a playmate besides a rock named Freud. They would have to work on this whole communication thing though. They were speaking two different languages apparently and she wanted to know what he was talking about. That would make it so much more fun! He told her that he would teach and she beamed at him, her eyes shining like gold coins. Then he asked if she would teach him too and she nodded.

"Of course! We can teach each other!"

She danced and leapt around him in a circle, so excited at the chance to be taught and teach. She didn't really know what that would entail but she was willing to try it if it meant keeping him as her new friend. When Aeon looked at Myrria, she knew that he was unsure of her presence and she didn't want him feeling uncomfortable at all so she bumped his shoulder and asked about his name, distracting him so he would only pay attention to her. It seemed to work because he perked up and smiled at her, explaining that his name meant life. She smiled big again, satisfied with this answer.

"Cool!"

Then he threw in that her name meant light and she gasped, her eyes wide.

"Wow, really? I had no idea!"

Suddenly she grinned and pranced in front of him, her tail wagging.

"So you're life and I'm light. Without us, the world is an empty dark place. We're awesome!"

She giggled. Then he said play and another word and she tilted her head for a minute but then she got it.

"Oh! Ludere means play. Ludere!"

She liked this game of learning new words. She was hungry to know more but first, they had to ludere! Then she asked if he was going to eat her and he scowled and shook his head, looking so serious. He said no eat and ludere again and she wagged her tail at him, hopping and play bowing in front of him. When he grabbed for her tail, she felt the hairs get pulled. She whipped around to retaliate but he was already pouncing on her so she reared up to meet him, toppling them both over into the dirt by the rocks. She giggled as he tried to go for her ears, wriggling and squirming to make it harder as she pawed at his chest and lunged for some fur to pull on. She didn't want to pull hard, just to keep antagonizing him. This playing was fun! She couldn't do this with Freud.
