Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Matianak had wanted to be angry at the sudden waking in the late hours. Initially she had wanted to snap at whoever shoved their snout into rouse her, but her anger was quickly stayed when her bleary gaze focused on the form of her father. There was an ever so slight wave of her tail across the earth as she rose and stretched briefly. Now was the time, and while she wanted to jump with glee, she knew better. Plus, father would not approve as there were things to do.

She followed with excitement in her step as she followed Under towards their destination. Matianak's attention was focused ahead of her in her dear father's paces, fully intent on the path ahead of him. Now was the time to truly prove herself. She refused to fail.

The grey coated youth stopped as suddenly as he did. She eased forward to his side, following his watchful eye to the slumbering female who was their target. Her gaze shifted momentarily to her father, and then to Umbra. This one had to be a team effort. She didn't want it to be, but there was need for patience on Matianak's part. Perhaps she could do it herself, but this was not a kill for food. This was different, and she had to play her cards just right and not show her entire hand.
