It's not that Fen's parents weren't around or anything. They were just busy with their duties to the pack and the needy kids like Xerxes. Meanwhile Fen was out in the world already trying to make a name for himself. He had already set out to Diveen and was trying to figure out if Orion had somewhere to put him or not. Otherwise he would be moving on to the next pack, Iromar, and then finally Taviora if nowhere else worked out. Halcyon had already admitted that he felt Fen would get better training somewhere where he wasn't related to the wolves that did what he wanted to learn. Sure, his mom could teach him to be a spy but he didn't think she wanted that life for him. So many secrets and never really being able to open up. But he didn't mind at all. He liked secrets, especially when someone had really juicy ones to share. He actually admired his uncle Mugen from afar but had never had the chance to really talk to him but he heard he was pretty good at kidnapping wolves and that intrigued Fen to no end. If only he could lure his victims like that and then learn all their secrets before deciding their fates. It would be so much fun. He didn't really have the mindset to have loyalties or anything at this stage. He knew he would defend his sister Tikal if it came down to it. He would probably just laugh at Xerxes if someone so much as messed up his perfect fur. In fact, he would pay someone to do that just to watch his brother get tormented. He would probably fight for his parents if only cause they raised him and he guessed he owed that much to them. But Asteraia hadn't had the chance to feel like home to him. He was born in Diveen and then brought here. He was still torn between the two but didn't know if either really felt like home. He had heard Halcyon had stepped down and let his younger mate Aster take over Asteraia. He was intrigued to see how this went since he didn't really know Aster all that well. Maybe he should introduce himself some day. But on this day, it wouldn't be that day. He heard the call and pricked his ears, setting off in an eager trot toward the source. Who would be calling for him? He didn't recognize the call. When he got closer, he paused only a moment before continuing. He didn't know the wolf but the older male smelled like Asteraia so he was pack. Maybe he would have secrets to share. He wagged his tail as he got closer and pricked his ears, giving the other male a lazy smirk as he stopped before him. "So....what's up, doc? You rang?"
