�Vulu?� He echoed, frowning in thought after she�d spoken. �Vulu�� He muttered again, testing it. His blue eyes flashed to her and his grin reappeared. �I think I could get used to it, as long as you�re around enough to keep calling me by it.� The sound of mirth from her lips � the little giggle that had followed her smart comment � made his smile deepen. Her happiness was a lovely sound and the way it brightened her features made Zevulun even more convinced he needed to at least get her to consider spending even a day with him in the Bay. The more time he had in her lovely presence, the happier and more fulfilled he�d be.

Zevulun laughed a soft, small laugh at her comment regarding his importance in the Bay. His travels to Crossing Isle were quickly telling him what he thought was the norm was not always true. �My older sister Mariael is Queen of the Bay. I�m a member of her Queensguard, so I help keep everyone safe.� It was an important job and Zevulun was proud Mariael had made certain to raise him so he would be prepared when the day finally came to protect their family.

Huffing a breath, Zevulun rolled his eyes playfully. �Please, I bet you�d dream about sharing a cave with me.� His blue eyes locked shamelessly to hers and his voice lowered. �Think about it� you, me� alone in a cave, just each other�s body heat to keep warm.� He let a moment of silence pause heavy between them before the smile was back on his mouth. �I can�t think of any better way to spend winter.�
