Even though he felt that it may have been okay to be around this pretty lady and give her flowers, his nerves got the best of him, and he was now finding himself stuck to Aster’s backside trying to catch his breath. His mind was replaying what happened...even though it just happened. Flashes of her face and eyes and how...strangely happy she seemed when he put the flowers at her feet. He wanted those images to last forever, and felt himself calming down a bit after a moment, especially with Aster’s gentle touch.
Zelda’s words rush into his ears and suddenly he turns his head. He rests his head upon Aster’s back, peeking around like a pup. She would treasure them always? This made his eyes grow wide with his tail suddenly wagging behind him. His white ears perk, and in fact, his whole form seems to perk up after that...although he still remains hiding behind his larger sister. She says that he name is Zelda, and the name becomes burned within his memory as he gazes at her from what he can see around his sister. He barely pays attention when Aster mentions that this is Halcyon’s niece. His attention was much too focused on Zelda.
Aster then steps aside, and Lazarus finds his head falling as his resting spot had moved. He barely catches himself, and suddenly feels exposed as he directly faces Zelda now with no Aster between them...and Aster even introduces him as the Prince of Asteraia. His stance is wide as are his eyes as he looks from Zelda to Aster. He is frozen in place like terrified prey, but less so terrified and more so...well, terrified but in a completely different manner. He didn’t think Zelda was going to hurt him- quite the opposite, but he was terrified of what he was feeling right now and how...confusing everything was feeling. He felt the world was turning upside down right now and all for Zelda. He gulps, ears pulling back as he licks his nose and gives an extremely nervous smile.
He didn’t move until Aster poked him in the side. It was an action that startled him so much that he yelped and tripped over his own paws, sending him to the ground on his side. This was nothing to panic about, at least not likely for Aster. It was common for him to get startled, or to just fall in general. He was not the most graceful wolf in the world.
”Y-Y-yes,” he replies as he gets to his feet and bolts to Aster, putting his sister in between himself and Zelda. However, as they went along and talked, he would take a few steps ahead of Aster so his head could peek around to take a look at Zelda, a cheesy nervous grin touching his maw each time he did it...as if looking at Zelda brought such a happiness despite his natural nerves trying to hold him back.
