Ernesto’s dark eyes widened as the stranger introduced himself, a small chuckle slipping from his lips. So many names! He had never met someone with as many titles as this golden man – enough that he got to choose which one he liked to go by. “A mouthful indeed, señor Lunero,” he replied. “However did you get so many titles?” His tone was playful as he spoke, but his question was genuine in curiosity. As Lunero spoke about his lucky stars, Ernesto couldn’t help the grin which pulled at the corners of his lips. What a flatterer this stranger was – he had a tongue that might make Ernesto himself blush. Of course, Ernesto thought little of it, save that it would be most entertaining talking to him. “Why, every time someone meets me it is their lucky day!” he teased, clearly amused by his own joke, before turning his attention back to Lunero’s question. “I came from the mainland not long ago, though I never really called one place home – we were always wanderers, my brothers and I. What about you, Lunero Olivia de Costa Agua Brilliante?” He dragged the name out over his tongue just for the fun of it, and to see his new companion’s reaction. A mouthful it might be, but it was certainly fun to say. “Have you been on these islands long?” ernesto heartbreak is savvy and love is a bitch |
