OOC

The place for a little bit of everything!
The OOC board is, well, multi-purpose! Members can post freely here and the majority of site-related content will be posted here as 'announcements,' while general chatting goodness is encouraged to take place over on our Discord server.

Plot-trackers and to-do lists can also be posted here. Events such as "Quarterly Highlight" nominations and voting, site-wide plots, Casanova nominations and site-wide changes (such as a rule update) will also be posted here. You may use the 'key' below to colour-code your posts!

Return to Lunar Children

Assume that's true!

I will start with the guards, they are following my OOC/IC orders as Zelda that they could come in. I invited them. I suppose it was my mistake in allowing them to enter. I apologize for that. There is no rule for this, that is more by my authority as an alpha player that gave permission for my pack's guards to come in. I invited them and in their 'job description' of the pack they are to help patrol Taviora's borders.

Honestly we could talk for days about how a situation is power play or not. Like even saying he snuck that far in the land in one post could be considered power play or assuming Zelda's den was empty also could be assumed so! There is a degree of assuming and definite judgement making on what players feel is or isn't okay. x'D Obviously I am not bothered that he got that far in the land or assumed the den was empty! That is my feelings on the matter, but for others it might not be so, see how it can be confusing to begin with!

So that being said, I do see your point in that you feel you were power played to some degree, though it normally goes the moment you post a character you should expect another to reply and potentially find him. Either way I think you have a right to feel so, but action reactions are normal part of posting. Most of us enjoy the unknown of what will happen when another player replies! IE if they find you! Or if they don't! In the end it's left open for the potential of that reaction. The difference between them finding you, and the Coyote thing is that it was posted that they were forced away to do this thing after saying they did another. You can't change what another player has written in short. While they guards found him, they didn't change anything that you had written. It wasn't exactly so for the end of your post, it was left open for a player to reply and potentially find him or not, at the discretion of the other player.

Power play again is fickle and a lot of grey area, it's best to use your best discretion depending on the situation. Honestly you will have to learn what works for you and other players, and situations! It comes with Role playing experience. Again LC is an Intermediate to Advanced RPG, but we are happy to help you learn. It just comes with posting and learning as you go to be honest xD But regardless I think the thread is done, over all there is no harm done to any party and it's all good!

I will end with saying its best to keep your mind open to the idea that everything might not always go exactly as planned, and that's okay, that's part of Rping <3 It's an adventure after all =)
