She had seldom been social. Perhaps it was a flaw within her or her breeding but she had never been innately drawn to others, never the one to hunt down company whenever she grew bored. Halcyon's silence made her consider that perhaps that had been her flaw this night - she had mispoken or perhaps her words had not even been sensical. Often, she roamed deep within her own mind and for a moment, she had been given to believe she might have become lost. Yet, it seemed to be him or who had become lost in thought. It relieved her, dared even the smallest breath of relief, and tilted her curiosity further towards him. Who knew their leader might be such an interesting case?
It was peculiar to be called a lady and her head tilted for a moment before she straightened somewhat, attentive now to his other words. Her eyes narrowed knowingly when he mentioned change and she nodded slowly as if to affirm his beliefs. "Yes, and we cannot stop this change." It was like the weather, an all powerful thing that had to occur. "Moladion is out of balance." And she wondered if he knew what that might mean for them all. After all, Asteraia had once been home to all the monsters of Moladion but the gate had been opened, the tides had been unleashed. Thoth's death had begun it all. That much, she knew.
She relaxed each time he fell into thought, allowing her eyes and ears to search the horizons once more before she turned back to him with a flick of her ear. "My father was soul sick," she nodded and then her eyes darted aside in a fleeting moment of nervousness, unused to sharing any part of herself with another, "he was unbalanced. He hurt and so, he hurt others. It is a sickness that festers in the soul. Makes us sick, makes us wrong." Her eyes darted, her words quickening before she hushed and shuffled back just enough to obscure herself in the shadows. It was more comfortable there after having bared so much.
"Beltane," she stated, more quiet now. Her eyes narrowed towards him, a part of her feeling some distant connection to him besides from their mutual quarters and lives. Some part of her blood, far away, felt connected. What she did not know was that it was Solstice, and that she had found herself one step closer to her brother's killer. Perhaps that was the sickness she felt from Halcyon - his connection to her and the bones beneath Asteraia and thus, a closeness to the other side.
