Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

ARGENTO

The Lagoon at dusk was a peaceful place. The deep gold glow of the sunset was mostly hidden by the trees, but where it peeked out from between the veil of branches, it lit up the water and danced like fire. Argento dozed along the water's edge, listening to the sounds of his home. Frogs whirred and whistled their alien songs, while the water lapped gently at Argento's feet and, further in the distance, waves crashed against the shore in a rhythmic hiss.

When the deep, hearty voice of a bachelor broke the stillness and sent a stab of fright through him, Argento groaned and dragged his eyes open. Had his ears deceived him, or had that call been for him? Surely not, he reasoned - given the fact that he'd made it clear he had no intention of playing Big Boss Man - but alas, he was not hearing things. What could they possibly want with him at this hour?

He willed his feet into movement. Mercifully the summoner was not far, and Argento found him in an open patch of mud a way back from the water. The shadows were deep here, but there was still enough light to see that it was Jaxon who had called him. The older stallion looked restless, and Argento had a bad feeling crawling up his spine as he approached his brother. "Evening," he greeted him, and stopped out of reach of teeth or hooves - just in case the bachelor had a bone to pick with him.

"Something on your mind, dear Jaxon?"
