News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

- Zelda -

Perhaps the two were similar in many regards. Since Hyrule left Taviora had become Zelda’s main focus and hadn’t deterred for some time. Married to her purpose of protecting the lands her family had owned since its founding. Kalseru surely felt the same. The mountains had belonged to her family since times of old Zelda heard, apparently way before the meteor fall even there had been mountains owned by this family. It was like they were rooted to it, but Zelda could understand, after all she wasn’t sure she could call any other land home but the forest she was born and raised in. Even though her blood also partly belonged to the plains the forest claimed her heart and forever would.

Right now though the young wolfess could only watch the slightly older one. Kalseru had been an unexpected and surprising change, but hardly unwelcome. Zelda was never doubted as Kalseru was, not by anyone other than herself at least. She was her biggest critic, full of doubts and worries constantly for what could and would inevitably come. Something that already had come to Kalseru, though if anything, that made her position stronger than Zelda’s ever had been. After all, one of the first duties one had to their land was being able to prove their worth as leader by winning in battle, something Zelda had never done in her life. Sure she practised, but she never really had to fight or struggle for anything.

Still Zelda had other reasons for being here, more important ones even. While her demeanor was kind, perhaps Kalseru could see the heaviness in her eyes, the worry that she could never hide. Her family wasn’t exactly the best at concealing their emotions after all, and she was no different in that regard. Still formalities gave Zelda to ask about the former Queen first. A genuine sigh of relief left the auburn female when the dark grey wolfess said that she would recover. ”That is good to hear, I hope her a speedy recovery for her sake then.” Zelda says giving a little smile. But then the talk turned to the true matter at hand. Why she wanted to make sure she was here now.

”Ah… Yes, I do not blame you, being an alpha, especially when you are just getting started is… overwhelming to say the least, especially when its unexpected.” She knew that all to well. For after all Zelda had fallen into alphaship in near the same fashion Kalseru did. Different, but very similar in many ways. Only back then she had help, now it was just her… she imagined it was even harder on one’s own. Her ears flicked though as she thought what best to talk about first… Diveen? Iromar? Arace? There was so much to start with, but Zelda felt it was right, if she was to do what she was hoping to do if she started off with Arace.

”Last Fall a wolfess had attacked one of my own. I had her imprisoned and guarded and she remained as such for two seasons. One day Diveen had captured her from me. I personally knew one of their sons very well, and the angels had always been reputably wolves and close to my family, as I hear they are with yours. I didn’t immediately pursue the matter… Apparently that was my mistake, many things. The wolfess, known as Arace, that was taken from me attacked and killed a beloved wolf of Iromar, my Ally, shortly after her theivery into Diveen. I am not yet sure of Diveen’s guilt in that… Arace was a dishonest wolfess. I know the angels would never attack without reason and I know the Alphess Pine well and know she would not give Diveen a reason to wish ill upon her. She seems to think otherwise though. She was quite angry when she found out that Diveen took Arace from me, then sent her to attack them. Understandably… but do you not feel as I do? That something is… off? I know Diveen is hurting because of a loss, but they wouldn’t do such things.” The wolfess explained, her visage pensive, ears drawn back and eyes looking to the sky as if hoping it would give her answers. She let her gaze fall back to Kalseru then. ”That is the current state of affairs with those two packs. I intend to see Diveen soon to hear their side, but I wanted more help. Spirane’s help.” She finishes her bright teal eyes not leaving the moon-rimmed ones of Kalseru.
