The first respectable characteristic about Kalseru came to light as Tychon charged her. He felt it like the stone he wore his paws on every day; solid. He knew she wasn’t going to move, so he had no option other than to attack upwards to discourage her teeth from finding solid purchase. Twice, Kalseru’s teeth scrapped over his muzzle in the confrontation of teeth, leaving a few neat, shallow cuts. Fortunately, the pair were moving with such power that he remained free of a vice grip. The momentum he previously had carried him dangerously close, and it took a great amount of effort to skid himself to a stop with enough balance to meet her assault. With her leverage over their current battle - especially because he’d become a bit too close so that she could bare down on him all the better, Tychon knew he’d be defeated if he fought much longer past the limitation of his height. So, he let his body do what it would naturally; he coiled power back into his paws and suddenly withdrew his head from their ferocious exchange of snaps.

His target changed in an instant and he lunged for her left foreleg. After misdirecting her attention to height, he was hopeful she’d be unsuspecting of his assault of her limps. He imagined the pair’s nearness would increase his chances of a successful execution, for it meant that Kalseru would have less time to dodge. If he were to secure the limb, Tychon would aim to push it under her and thus naturally fold her over his shoulder. There, he would have leverage enough to slam his weight into her and throw her onto her side. As he previously observed, he knew that success for him depended on his control of her legs because he could not best her in height unless he miraculously found a suitable opening.

Despite his harsh judgement of her character, she had immediately shown him the conditioning of a warrior’s disposition upon starting the brawl. Daenerys wore such a brand on her fur while it seemed Kalseru concealed it behind her eyes. In either case, it made both dangerous. Tychon felt his temper cool, and even a twinkle in his eye appeared while Kalseru’s leg came closer to his seeking canines.
