When solid ground grows soft with emerald moss and rivulets of black mud, and coffee-colored water pours slowly around the trunks of densely carpeted trees, this marks the beginning of Laod Mor: the swamp of Blossom Forest. Time itself seems to slow to a soporific crawl . . . the humid jungle air grows stagnant, thick with the scent of rich flooded earth and an abundance of green things that can be found nowhere elseóexcept perhaps Caidir Olc. In some areas of the swamp, water rises so high the only way to cross it is to crawl across fallen logs or massive roots arching from their liquid beds; in other places a wolf might wade easily through the mireóor find a fortunate stretch of mostly dry earth. Pieces of the great river, Glaesfaet Sceawere, also slice through from time to time: small falls that feed into surprisingly clear pools, only to terminate into tar-like pits. Of course, Laod Morís beauty shines brightest at night. Here, fireflies gather at all times of the year . . . suffusing the shadowy place with millions of twinkling lights.

Those looking to hunt here of course find a myriad of water prey, including caiman, turtles, fish, crayfish, otters, and toads.

In The Darkness I'll Find Stars

It didnít take Camille long to find out that the place she currently explored was deemed Blossom Forest. This place was luscious and beautiful, and the prey that thrived here was only another bonus. It was no wonder that many packs dwelled throughout the expanse lands. Not only that, but this place was also a paradise for her own kind. Loners could also live happy without having to join a pack. There was so much land that wasnít claimed around here that wolves could freely come and go as they pleased.

The idea intrigued Camille and so she didnít hurry along, but instead found herself exploring many various places. Currently the ivory and ebony colored lady found herself still in the forest part of the land. Plant life was very thick here, and it provided some shade for her heated coat. The sun had been constantly on her ebony colored back during her travel, and it brought a whole new definition to being hot. Some water would be nice, after all it had been awhile since she last perched her thirst. Surely, with all this vegetation life there would be a source of water nearby?

She stopped and pricked her black auds to full attention, could it really be? Yes, she could hear running water nearby. The wolf gods were answering her wish. Camiís banner wagged even as she raised it in glee, her steps picking up in speed. However, the moment she entered the clearing she halted in awe. Wow. She breathed the word out, her voice soft and calming. Almost like a lullaby, just as soothing as the sound of wind in grass. The sound of falling water hadnít prepared her for the sight before her.

The water falls in a gentle manner from a formation of rocks. From the top, all the way down to the bottom, various small sizes of water formed, before they continued on to the bottom main pool. She could only imagine what the sight would look like when the water freezes in winter, if it got cold enough to do so. The idea of continuing to travel faded with each moment she lingered in these lands.

The cool touch of the wet pebbles felt amazing against the warm pads of her paws. She sighed a little as she lowered her head to lap up some of the liquid. Blue soul gates noticed fish swimming around in the water. It might have been fun to try and catch one, but she wasnít particularly hungry right now. This place may be crawling with easy food, but she wasnít interested in wasting. Thatís a habit that will probably never go away for her.

When her thirst was satisfied she leapt on top of one of the larger rocks that was near the falling water. From here she could feel the lightest of sprays from the cascading water upon her face. It was peaceful and she relaxed as she paid attention to her surroundings. Maybe someone would come along to keep her company. Her white legs lowered and stretched out until she laid flat upon the cool rock.
