The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Nimueh had slept through the night like a recently fed pup - soundly and with the sweetest of dreams. She had dreamt of being healthier - living in a world where her skin's glue worked properly in keeping the cells together, tissue connected by healthy and strong sinew. That those same cells were produced at a normal rate, and that not every nick and scratch presented a strong risk of infection. She had dreamt of a successful pack, strong both in number and loyalty. She had her harem of both hessians and femme fatale and each one was beautiful in both physique and in their individual personalities. No loner who actually wanted a home would be turned away; it was the home of the outcasts, a place where everyone was welcome. She was beloved by her own and feared by her enemies not for her fighting prowess, but for her mind. For her network of spies that saw everything, heard every whisper, and were impossible to turn against her. And, perhaps, best of all, Nimueh was in love. It was not with a single lord or lady, but multiple, and instead of living in a perpetual state of jealousy, they reveled and shared in her polygamy. But it had been but a dream and naught more, and when she was woken from it she released a snarl of annoyance. It was not too often that her mind allowed her to remember her dreams when she was awoken instead of naturally awaking, and even now she could feel the tendrils of it all slipping away into nothingness until all she remembered was the feeling of utter incandescence.

Slowly Nimueh got to her pads and exited her den, following the cologne the that drifted into her den to its origin. She smiled at the titan before slowly pushing her weight backward onto her haunches, her front dipping low to the ground. Soon after, she reversed the stretch and rose, leaning forward with her weight on her front limbs and fully extended both of her haunches behind her. A yawn escaped from her maw and she clipped her maw together a few times as the remnants of her sleepiness left her. The smile returned to her kissers and she grinned devishly at Lev as she returned her pallid gaze to his facade. "Goodmorning, Handsome." And then it happened - her peripherals called her attention and Nimueh blinked a few times. The coy curling of her features faded into a serious frown and her pinpoints darted from side to side, examining the world around her. Her cranium cocked in confusion, the Iberianess studying it all. There were parts that were familiar - for example the rock beneath her feet. But gone were the ledges, the stark contrast between the cliffs and the ravines. Instead, the was a slow but steady slope to the land until it escalated quickly to some cliffs with plateaued peaks. This cave had been her solitude - difficult to get to, hidden - but now a wonderfully open path led straight to her.

The Queen snorted and pushed past Lev to move to the edge of this path and peered down - but there was no ravine where she stood - the slope continued gradually down to the river, and while it remained, it was no longer partially covered. It stood in all of its remarkable glory unabashed and widened, ready to pour its sweet nectar of life into any being that so desired its sustenance. Everything was different. It was all so familiar but different. Wide eyed, Nimueh continued to study it all - was she dreaming it? She carefully bit down on her tongue, not enough to make it bleed but surely enough to cause pain... and with the sharp sting of pain she knew she was not dreaming. The only possible explanation was the impossible - magic. How else could the top covering of a pack be torn apart overnight without so much as waking its inhabitants. But it had not done only that - no. Already life was starting to spring up where once this land had been only death, and she could see the greenery of cacti and small shrubberies bursting up.

"What the literal fuck happened to Crith-Thalmhainn?" Nimueh coughed and her head reared backward in consternation. The words Andere Seite had come to mind but not to tongue. Even as she rolled it around in her maw as one would savor a sweet wine, she felt the changing of the syllables. The harsh 'Kr' came first instead of the softer 'Ahn' and it only deteriorated from there. Her mind could still identify the pack as such, but her maw told her something completely different, and however it was, she knew the truth of it - Crith-Thalmhainn was the new name for this pack, but not just the new name - it was the original name. It's ancient name from when it was first founded. Nimueh shrugged in exasperation - there was nothing she could do about any of these changes except to accept them, and since she had no sway over them it was naught for her to worry about. What she was worried about, however, was why it had all happened? What caused it, how did it happen, and which places were affected. What would the consequences be? What evil would be pooling from this, and what good to balance it out?

"Lev..." She shook her head and smiled, refocusing on the present. "Let's take a walk through this... new land of ours, shall we my sweet? Although we already had much to talk about, we apparently have even more now." Nimueh moved to his side and leaned into him slightly, both to restrength her own territorial scent upon him, marking him as one of hers and out of a flirtatious habit. Her feminine body slid alongside his confidently until she moved slightly in front of him, her plume sweeping up and under his chin in a fleeting manner as she walked away from from and toward the future.
