It was as her parents had always said, that your imprint was something special, magical even. She knew perhaps she did not fit with Alistair as her mother and father fit. The fastidious male and her were a lot different, but she knew fate knew what it was doing when she had met him in the valley all those years ago. Perhaps they were not as perfect as her parents had been, but they still gave each other things that the other didn’t have. The more serious male was great to go to for advice and help, then Moonstone felt she had been a perfect emotional source for him. She didn’t know that she made him feel things he didn’t know he had but, it certainly didn’t surprise her either. Moonstone was happy to have him as her soul, and really she never thought of any other male being able to compare to the relationship they had, even if they didn’t see each other all the time.
Really the pair of them worked, regardless of the distance, and now that she was back in Spirane really they weren’t that far apart since the Forest and the Mountain packs were neighbors and also now allies again. She couldn’t leave her family, even if it was for him, not again at least. They needed her here now more than ever with her aunt not doing well and Moonfeather now a little more absent than normal. They needed her new skills here at home, just as much as the leadership of Taviora needed him now. So it was hard, but it wasn’t at the same time, she didn’t yearn for them to change their ways, just accepted them as they were and enjoyed the time she got to spend with him.
His words were just about as flat as ever, but she could tell he was trying with his tones. SHe could feel it though, the feelings he had, and always she knew that why his voice was dull and toneless she still felt the feelings behind those words. She smiled even as they finally pulled away, so happy to have him here for a visit once more. Someday she would have to go to Taviora to see his home too. However she wanted to know if everything had gone well for him, tilting her head slightly while letting her bright lavender eyes set on him waiting for his short report.
She grinned and felt her face burn slightly, that had nothing to do with the cold as he spoke further though, saying that he didn’t want to talk about his work, but her, and to spend more time together.
She was nearly bursting with excitement telling him her exploits, she had been wanting to tell him ever since she got back but she was never sure if it was a good time for the black and white male.
