Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

.the rising of the storm.

Spring hit Glorall with strong winds that whipped at her face and fur with a fury she could do nothing about but love. It brought with it words she was sure only she could interpret. Something was happening, she could feel it in her stomach.

Over the season, she had grown round and she knew the reasons behind it. The love between her and Thor was never one to be denied. Throughout the cold winter they had kept each other warm, revelling in the heat of each other’s fur. When they did part to fulfill their lives, Thor seemed to always come back with something for her to eat. Whether it was what she wanted or not, she would consume the food as if it were her last meal, thanking him or mumbling depending on what hormones dictated at the time. Still, when she looked at him she felt the pulse of love beat through her breast.

On the sands of the beach, the woman’s eyes were slits against the onslaught of grit. Waves crashed hard against the shore, the currents combining with the wind. Inanna watched for a moment until an unfamiliar twisting permeated through her body. Two toned eyes widened. It did not take someone particularly learned to know what was happening. The white woman raised her head and called to her lover, beckoning him to their home, trusting the strong winds to carry the tones to him. Call unleashed, she padded as quickly as the contractions would allow back to their den, slipping in as best she could in her condition.

Breathing deep as the sound of the wind still hissed over the sand and through the stones outside, she made herself relax and give into the birthing process. She knew the powers were looking at her and her child, she even lifted her nose at one point to scent what little wind did break through the protective barriers, wondering if somewhere her protector and guardian watched over her in this moment, waiting for her physical guardian to come to her (which she knew he would waste no time).

The birth was quick and easy, as far as she knew. Cleaned and pressed against her side, she nuzzled a mostly white pup, her tongue still dragging along the russet line across his back. Pleased, she knew this pup would be greater among greats. The wind and the sea, and the powers that be willed it so.
