OKAY so I’m sure most of you know by now but in case you don’t, I’m going to be gone for three WHOLE weeks. I might have time here and there to jump on discord and chit-chat or check in, but I definitely won’t have time to post.
If anyone wants to wrap up our current threads OOC-style, discuss what had happened and consider them closed, I’m completely okay with doing that. But, if you’re okay with waiting until mid-October for a post from me, we can keep those threads going, too! Just let me know what you prefer!
Life for my ponies while I’m gone is pretty much same as expected – my Bay crew is going to be hanging with the herd, getting comfortable with everyone. Zevulun is probably doting over Avalon and their little girl and Maziel is likely loving on her too. Oswin and Klara are maybe having an extended vacation in the Prairie while Klara gets a little stronger and when I get back, they’ll return to Crossing. Aadhira and Aarushi are on Crossing, but when I get back Aadhira will tell her about Priya and they will travel to Salem. Psychedelic is still hiding in the Forest, disappearing whenever anyone who’d have known him happens to pop up. Talya’s being crazy in the Forest, running around and not remaining quiet whatsoever. Avangeline is just sticking like glue to Al-Hattaal’s side and not letting him out of her sight lmfao. I’m pretty sure that covers the basics of what all my ponies are up to…
I’m extremely excited about this trip, so I thought maybe I’d share why it’s such a big deal. Basically, this is three vacations smashed into one by pure happenstance. Firstly, I never had a relationship with my father growing up until a few years ago and we’ve slowly been talking a little more and a little more, and I’ve been dying to finally assimilate into his life and actually have that side of my family (especially because he has two young kids I’d love to know since they’re my half-siblings). A few months ago he asked if I’d like to go on their family vacation this year, which is a cruise to Cuba. I was over-the-moon! Here’s the chance I’ve been waiting for to get some serious bonding time in with my dad and his wife and their kids AND I get to go to CUBA!!! He paid for me to go (double-score!) and can’t stop telling me how excited he is I’m coming along. So I’m stoked and nervous (we’ve never spent this kind of time together) and just overall a bundle of enthusiasm and anxiety lmfao
Then, because I have to fly from California to Florida for the cruise, I realized one of my very close internet friends lives in Florida and we’ve been dying to have a chance to hang out together in person. I’d never otherwise be able to afford a plane ticket to Florida, so this was my chance. My dad agreed to extend my return ticket another week out, so when I get off the ship in Tampa, I’ll be spending a week in Orlando with my good friend, likely running around to all her favorite local spots (also she works at Disneyworld so she can get me in for free YEAAAHH) or just chilling in her apartment, watching all the shows together we want to watch and just basically being big ol’ nerds.
THEN I get back on Friday night and come Monday morning (early eaaarly), I have to drive four hours down to LA for a week-long Disneyland trip! This trip is to celebrate my best friend’s 10 year wedding anniversary. I’ve been with them for around 11 years now, so I’ve been there since the beginning basically and I couldn’t be more happy to celebrate this time with them!!! |
