Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD,

With all the changes that came to the land, the most surprising had been to find that the majority of the trees within the land where gone. His whole life Grey Wind had been surrounded by forests and dense foliage, and now to be in an open land with a large ocean surrounding them was entirely foreign to him. The new area unsettled him, or at least it would until he got used to it. He felt too exposed out in the open. He was used to the trees to cover him and hide him from site if need be, but now with no trees, it would be a different life style. Somehow the varg had found a small outcropping of trees, just enough to give him cover from being out in the open. He took advantage of what he found, hiding out in their protective shade, not sure how long these straggling survivors would remain in the territory for while he waited for Macaria to find him.

When the smaller form of his mate finally came into view he already felt more at home. Even though the two were a mated pair they did not spend every moment together, so he valued the time when they were in each other’s presence more. And though neither were the most sentimental being, he knew that Macaria missed him too when a whine escaped her throat, a sound that he did not hear often from her. The male wanted to cover every inch of her, so the world would know that the two of them were together. Normally he was even more possessive after she had a night with another being, but this time he didn’t catch the scent of any strangers on her pelt. For a brief second he thought maybe she no longer would have the cravings that she did, but he knew that would not be the case. Just because she had not been with another recently did not mean she would not in the future. But for now he would cherish the fact that Macaria had no foreign scents on her pelt.

As the two began to speak of the ocean, she quietly laughed, but not in a mocking way. He didn’t need to worry about hiding his fears or uncertainties, not from Macaria. "Oh, my love, the big bad water scares you? Does the immenseness of its vast existence make you feel small and insignificant?" Her vocals were playful, and as she nipped at him, Grey Wind gave a low mocking growl towards her that changed to a purr as she licked at him. "You are neither small nor insignificant to me, my love. And as for the water... it scares me as well. But it is the not the size of the ocean that bothers me - it is smaller than the sky after all, and smaller even than the galaxies of stars above. It is just ... the water itself that bothers me.” The brute had never thought of it that way. In hindsight the ocean was smaller than the sky he was used to having above his head. But it was not something that he was used to having around him. And maybe it was the water itself that was to be more feared than the vast size of the body. But her words comforted him nonetheless. His nares continued to explore her form as he thought on her words, inhaling her familiar and comforting scent. ”Well I suppose we can both protect each other from this new ocean then. I won’t let its waters swallow you up.”

The larger male’s husky vocals died down as he tried to pull her down to the ground with him, wanting to be in contact with as much as her as possible now that they were together. Tongue and teeth went through the darker femme’s pelt as a noise of content escaped Grey Wind. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to know what she had been up to, but in the end he knew that he would rather hear from her than not. Even if some of her activities did bring out his jealous side. The pair did not spend endless hours arguing and fighting to not stay together. He was by far happier with her than without. And he would make their contract work, even if the thought of her with another male made his blood boil. But he wouldn’t let himself dwell on it right now. Not when Macaria was tangled between his limbs. Hearing from her own mouth that she hadn’t been with another recently made him even more relaxed, which he should have come to his own conclusions about from the scents on her pelt. But the reassurance from her made him feel better.

The femme turned to look at Grey Wind, and when their gaze met it reminded him that even if she had been with another it wouldn’t have mattered. She was not breeding with any of these males, and she was using them in ways that would have made their relationship impossible. They were both happy, and together, and that was all that mattered. "I have mainly been watching the ebb and flow of the ocean, and exploring the new lay of the land. So, then. What have you been up to?” The male shrugged at her words, realizing that his life had been boring as of late. ”Honestly, nothing exciting. I spent some time with my brother and Kershov recently. But it’s been laid back.” He paused his speech, remember when the pair had first met and how their relationship had began. Life had been far from boring then. Without her he may not be here, or at least he wouldn’t be in the healthy form he was in now. Even if their relationship had a rocky beginning, it had been more event filled. ”Sounds like we could both use some excitement in our lives.” Yellow orbs turned to meet her orange ones as he licked at her Audette, enjoying the warmth of her form against his own.
