Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

My Philosophy is that Worrying Means You Suffer Twice

The young pup was used to being around the other Arcus Irae, so when the Tempest began asking him questions, Scamander didn’t think that the words and names he was saying would become confusing. He just got excited to find his guardian and to know that he was safe. He had been so scared before when he was on his own, unsure of what was to become of him. But now that he was with Vladimir he knew that everything was going to be okay. Purple and yellow orbs looked to Vladimir’s natural colored ones, relief clearly showing in his own gaze. As he continued to ramble on, he saw Vladimir reach out to touch him, but the Tempest realized his error and stopped, paw in midair, and instead gestured with his head to sit down. His dark green rump sat upon the earth, his plume that blended into a dark purple wrapping around his emerald green paws.

As the pup asked the older brute his own questions, Vladimir made him realize that he needed to not rush into things. "You need to slow down. I have not seen any other rainbows such as yourself. In fact, I did not know that there truly were any. Any here at least. Who is this Zawyne and Losa that you speak of? I have heard the name Losa before but never the first name you said." The young male turned his eyes to the ground, feeling bad that he had rushed his story and not taken the time to explain things better. ”Sorry, I didn’t mean to be confusing.” He paused for a moment before looking back up to Vladimir. ”Losa’s the princess where I grew up, and Zawyne’s her sister. I don’t know why, but I was taken from my parents and put with other Arcus Irae. Some were pups like me but some of them were older like you. And then Zawyne came and took us to this land, but we got separated.” The brute frowned, remembering what had happened and still being confused about why he had been taken away in the first place. He still remembered the night when other wolves stormed into his families den, taking him away from his parents. Fear swept over him for a moment. What if those wolves had followed them all here? Would they hurt Vladimir to take him again? And why did they take him away? Did they all do something wrong? Did it have something to do with Duma taking over the land? Was it his doing? It was still jumbled in his young mind.

When Vladimir asked about he was, Scamander admitted that he was hungry. He was growing and needed to eat more often to keep up his strength. He would never become a large muscular wolf like Vladimir was, but he still needed to grow a lot until he became an adult. The Tempest motioned for Scamander to follow him, and the pup excited jumped to his emerald paws, wondering where it was they were going. Vladimir explained about his own family, and his own pack. Going to this pack sounded like a good idea to Scamander, especially if Aindreas could find the other rainbows. Scamander had never made friends easily, he was shy and often awkward at holding conversation, but it would be good to know that the others were okay. And hopefully they had found their own Tempest. But what if he was the only lucky one to find his guardian right away? Would the others be in danger? Were there already dangerous beings here that would want to harm them? Worry crossed his features as he thought about it, but he didn’t speak up about his concerns.

”Um, I’ve never had to hunt before. I’m sorry.” Scamander felt useless as he admitted to Vladimir that he would be of no use in a hunt, and he turned his head away from him, feeling guilty. If he hadn’t found the older brute to help him he could have starved on his own. "What do you say, Scamander, does that sound like a plan to you? You will be able to sleep there without fear. And then, after you wake up, you can tell me the full story, or we can look for your friends." The young brute rose his head once more, a smile on his multi-hued purple muzzle. ”Sounds good to me!” The young male trotted forward, his shorter emerald stilts trying to keep pace with the older male. He knew that everything would turn out okay now that he had Vladimir with him. The bad wolves wouldn’t be able to get him here now. His Tempest was taking him to a new home where he would be safe and protected. Maybe the other Arcus Irae would be able to stay with them too. Maybe Vladimir and Aindreas would be guardians for the others. Vladimir was a prince, so maybe he could be protector for one of the princesses. Thoughts ran through his head at the prospect of what this new home and new life could mean for him and the others.
