I am Orb. She seemed thoughtful for a moment before she started speaking of unicorns and rainbows. Kyra was getting more excited by the minute but Orb simply stared with his mouth parted in awe and his eyes wide like saucers. He tried to picture it all, having seen a rainbow or two after a good storm. Unicorns, though, he had no idea about. Must have been a story Kyra heard or something. She nodded vehemently. "MOMMA TELSL ME ABOUT UNICORNS AND PRINCES ALL THE TIME. SOME DAY I'M GOING TO HAVE ONE OF MY VERY OWN." She seemed so sure of it that no one wanted to burst her bubble. No one except for Bandit, of course. "NICE PIPE DREAM, LITTLE SENORITA. TOO BAD IT'LL NEVER HAPPEN SINCE UNICORNS DON'T ACTUALLY EXIST. AND YOU CAN TELL YOUR MOM I TOLD YOU SO." He hissed the words at her and Diesel gave him a scolding glare. "HOW DARE YOU." Before he directed his gentle gaze on Kyra. "DON'T LISTEN TO HIM. HE'S JUST BITTER THAT HIS DREAMS NEVER PANNED OUT." Kyra's bottom lip was trembling but she immediately brightened up at Diesel's reassurance. Her eyes lit up like fireworks as she stuck her tongue out at Bandit in retaliation. "GOOD. HE PROBABLY HAD STINKY DREAMS ANYWAY." Even Orb could chuckle under his breath at that one. Then he shook his head and re-focused on Ana. When she said that everyone left as the land died, Orb's ears flicked back in dismay, his brows furrowing with sympathy. "I'M...SORRY TO HEAR THAT." He figured that was the polite thing to say. Not that it was his fault or anything, but having your home die off around you must be heartbreaking. She tried to make him feel better by complimenting what little he knew of his home and he smiled, nodding. "I'M SURE IT WAS. I WISH I COULD REMEMBER MORE." Her next words threw him off in more ways than one. There's nothing wrong with being weird? Bandit chuckled bitterly. "EXCEPT FOR THE OUTCAST EFFECT, THE JUDGEMENTAL GAZES, AND OH YEAH, THE NAME CALLING. DID I FORGET ANYTHING?" He glanced around at the others with a wry grin, like he was just making a big joke. The others weren't in on it though. Mags had lied down and set her head on her paws with a big depressed sigh as she thought about it and even Diesel averted his gaze for a minute. Kyra was the only one unfazed, snorting in derision. "NO ONE DEMANDS ANYTHING OF US. WE'RE GREAT JUST THE WAY WE ARE." She announced proudly, straightening up as she eyed everyone else. Orb's ears pricked and he found his gaze wandering over Ana with new appreciation. Finally he smiled warmly and nodded. "I'LL...TRY TO KEEP THAT IN MIND. THANK YOU." She offered her lack of a leg as comparison and Orb cringed as he heard Bandit chuckle, knowing there was something rude coming. "YOU COULD ALWAYS TRY A PEG LEG. OH, AND FIND A PARROT. THAT ALWAYS DRAWS A CROWD." Diesel growled in warning, his eyes blazing as he stepped forward. "ENOUGH, BANDIT. SHE'S FINE JUST THE WAY SHE IS." Orb knew that protective voice when he heard it. Orb sighed softly and shook his head. "I WOULDN'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN. THIS IS HOW IT'S BEEN SINCE...WELL, AS FAR BACK AS I CAN REMEMBER. DID LEARNING TO HEAL HELP YOU?"
