At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Castiel apparently had no intention of going home to Aurora Borealis, or rather Dierne Hrof - and Tiresias could relate. Both of them technically had a place that they could belong, where they were meant actually to be. But neither of them considered that place home anymore. Neither of them wanted to go there. They were outsiders of their own design. And yet there was the universal design at play too. Somehow, they had met not once, but twice, and in the same place. Both times were on accident, and yet it seemed almost as if it all had happened on purpose. Tiresias had to admit, it would be nice to have a friend here, with him. He had always been a relatively social wolf, for he had spent most of his pup hood with his siblings and his pack mates - his father had been the Alpha of a pack, and he had never had a shortage of friends then. Even when he had been adopted by Eerie, at least he had her. But since she had left him, Tiresias had had no one. And it had made him stop and think, and wonder really - had Eerie ever really been his friend? Or had she nearly taken care of him, not actually cared for him, out of her resounding sense of guilt? Had the pack members only paid attention to him because he was his father‘s son? Had he ever truly had a friend? But then he remembered the tenderness in their touch, without hesitation. The sweet caring lilting timber of their words. There had been no stiff or awkward movements, which would have been present were they thinking there motion. He hated that he was questioning everything, but what else was there for him to do over these long months?

But then Castiel said something that Tiresias had not expected - an offer. Castiel would stay with him on the beach. Stay here… With him. Immediately, Tiresias wanted to jump at the opportunity - it would mean a friend for him, a companion. But part of him revolted at the idea. Castiel didn’t want… Anything in return did he? Anything… Awkward? Tiresias shook his head and cleared the thought from his mind. Though he believed quite strongly that a brute should lay only with a female, he had no reason to believe that Castiel was a gay himself. Clearly, Castiel had seen that there was a spark of kinship between them, a friendship. There was the possibility of them filling each other’s lives with happiness and companionship. Of course that was meant completely in the platonic sense. Tiresias ignored the pitter patter of his heart that skipped a beat and set about an off rhythm at Castiel’s words. It was excitement and nothing more. And he was excited, more excited than he thought he would be at the chance of having a friend again.

Tiresias smiled, and dipped his head in agreement. “Yes, everything that we need is in fact here on the beach. Although it is quite different than when it was a lake, and not an ocean… There are new dangers about. But there are caves here where we can find shelter, and make our dens. There are the fish in the ocean, although I will admit that fishing is now difficult for me given the tide - it has truly complicated everything. But there are are are others things to hunt here too, creatures in the caves. Occasionally, strange birds even come ashore, along with larger things that I cannot even begin to describe with you as I have not gotten up the courage to experience them. Further away from the shore, there are some plants, reeds mostly, but if the soil was properly taken care of, more plants would be able to be planted and cultivated. The only downside, is that one warrior from my homeland, or rather the homeland of my people, considering I have never actually been there myself, knows that I am here. I managed to evade him before, but I doubt that I will be so lucky again. I wish to put you in harms way not at all, and what I am about to say is just selfish of me to ask. But if you truly are planning on staying here, would it be weird if I requested that we share the same cave to share as our den? You of course will sleep on your side and me on mine, but it will allow me at least some protection while I rest - prevent him from getting any ideas about attacking me while I sleep. If there are two of us, surely he is not stupid enough to think that a wise solution. While I’m awake, I can handle myself well enough. Although, I must admit I am very rusty on my sparring, and if you would be so kind as to fight with me sometimes, either planned or unexpectedly, I would appreciate that as well. My foster mother was to train me, but she left before it was completed. I cannot very well spar on my own, now can I?
