He chuckled at her comment about his relation to Kalseru making him a prince of sorts, and he shook his head bashfully. "Not... not quite. I wouldn't have a desire for such a title, anyway." Winchester cleared his throat, another toothy grin offered for the sentiment, at least. "Though, it really is flattering that you'd think I'd fit into a role like that." He was unaware of her ambitious aspirations, being a rather simple wolf himself, with rather simple goals. He felt genuine pride and respect for his cousin, for taking up the mantle of Spirane was not easy. Deep inside, the boy knew that he would never be suited for such a responsibility. Not quite a follower, but certainly not a leader, either. He was content enough being in the shadows of others, riding on the winds beneath their wings. There was little reason that he should elevate himself when he was happy existing as he was now.
Winchester tilted his head at her words about siblings. "Well... no. My littermate Remi is off exploring, and my older siblings are kinda doing their own things. I have some adopted siblings, too, but... they've always been a little distant." He was unfamiliar with the idea that families should be so close-knit as to be tied to one another in such a way. Didn't they get sick of each other? He enjoyed the company of his family from time to time, but it wasn't even close to being every day. Wasn't the point of life to go and strike out on your own?
Her following words served only to confuse him further. It was a little... weird, to him at least, to have such a bond. He cared deeply for each member of his family, even Janus and Aine, but he would never expect them to be with him all the time. If Remi had wanted to come along with him, he would have welcomed her to, but there was no expectation. It seemed as though Lucille led quite a different life than he did, but it only left him wanting to know more. Observation could only get him so far in understanding the lives of others. "Oh, I see. Well, I could come and visit sometime." He offered, with a few uncertain waves of his tail. "And if you're really bored, you could always come explore with me for a few days. Only if you wanted to, though."
The thought of her company was tantalizing, but the boy didn't want to be pushy. Winchester was unassuming and subtle in intention if nothing else, but her personality led him to be a bit more forthcoming with his desires. There was still that glint of awe in his dual-toned eyes, and he couldn't seem to drag his attention away from her, even for a second. He wondered if everyone felt this way. How could they concentrate on anything if this feeling never dimmed?
