Maybe this was my payment for what I had done. This light had killed me, hadn't it? That's all I thought before I was able to open my eyes again. The scent of wolves had flooded my nares as I took my first steps into getting up. The world was coming into view as I finally shook off my daze. What had happened to me? All I understood that I had been thrown back into a tree and knocked out.

But was that my only dilemma? When my gazed moved down to my legs, I saw scales ripping through my fur. At first I thought it was normal, it took a moment to process. My eyes widened in shock as I began to scratch at them. They seemed to be a bit barbed, like a dragon. They were a beautiful green/blue color that went pretty well with my white coloured fur. But the more I looked at them, the more I realised that this was wrong. Scales? How could I have possibly grown scales in such a short amount of time? Was it from that strange flash of light? My skin boiled at the thought, anger sweeping through my veins. How could god be so cruel? "Why? What did I do to deserve this?" I let out a growl and swiped at the scales, seeing them flake off. However, something deep inside me didn't want to lose the scales. Instead, I looked away and and took a deep breath. Everything would be okay.
