Lullaby of the Crucified - " />

Malignant Felicity is a paradisaical abode to the faithful remains of a mighty pack. Once ruled by the magnificent wolf Genocide, now the wolves of this pack follow the laws of the Alpha Lance, son of Sorna, Beta and Genocide's best friend...

The sounds of crashing water fill your auds as you enter this tropical paradise. The tall trunks tower above you. The treetop canopy's seem to shade the beautiful land from the sun's rays. What a paradise this place seems. This place dubbed Malignant Felicity. As you draw closer to the boarders a stench slowly devours the air around you. The stench of death.

"Beware..." scream the birds from above you. "She kills for games. She kills for fun." Something deep inside tells you to listen. Your body tells you not to go no further. Do you listen or do you dare move into the pack borders. This could be a life or death decision...

Follow the Queen, or become a corpse that lines her border. The choice lies with you.

a vexatious kiss

The soft skittering of the animals around her pulled Diosa’s attention every which direction. Crimson orbs flitted each direction quickly only to focus for a short period on her paw placings, before she would scan the area once more. This place unnerved her in ways she didn’t think possible. Then again it was Draven’s little hideout. And he was the only vampire that Diosa knew she feared at this moment or right now in her life. All others she knew were siblings or part of her family, and technically Draven was related to her in some sick and twisted way. He had turned Lucaya, Lucaya had turned Diosa and her siblings to save them from death. To trace it back using vampirism as their lineage, Draven was like a grandfather, but in reality if he and mother made up then he was her father. And though he accepted her, only because she was a vampire, it did not lessen her unease around him. It was bad enough she was treading into his territory without asking, but worse, she had fed from Briseis and was asking to do so once more; again, without his permission. Being caught up in her thoughts Diosa faltered in step and landed face first into a puddle of mud. She rose up, the boggy liquid dripping off her face and chest.

She heaved a sigh, trying to hold back the flood or tears that threatened to spill.

Diosa didn’t want to have to do this; not to Bri… The sweet girl didn’t deserve this, but she knew no one else to go to. How could she possibly think that Bri would let her do this? She wasn’t naïve, she knew the pain that would come with the poison infested bite. And Diosa winced, hearing the blood curdling screams, already, in her mind and ringing in her ears. Briseis found Diosa standing there, covered in blood, scrawny and without trying, hungry. Natural instinct was taking over, her fangs had begun to protrude through her lips, her eyes glowing ever brightly in the dim light. She couldn’t hide the hunger that was eating away at her stomach. No… You can’t… You can’t possibly be thinking of feeding on me again… Can you? Diosa’s head dropped, she should have known better… the tears spilled over her lids. She whimpered quietly, I didn’t know where else to go… I didn’t want to hurt anyone, n-not that I want to do this to you either… but you survived last time and I know that my bite can be fatal… I didn’t want to run the risk of killing anyone Diosa heaved in a breath, I don’t want to be a killer Briseis! I don’t want to!

Not paying any attention to Bri, Disoa did not see the change in her heart, not right away. She was scared and the sound of the pumping blood was throbbing through her skull as if it was her own. And she dearly wished it was. She wished she was living, she wished to Torr and Fernis that blood poured through her veins once more, but no she was stuck like this. She was thankful only that this had saved her from death, but she hated the price at which it had come. The one she would continue to pay for the rest of her life. It was so against the grain of her heart’s desires that she fought with herself constantly. She wanted to heal and help others, not be the cause of their demise. Maybe that’s how she would try to remedy her pain. She would become a healer, she would try to save any of those she bit or who needed help regardless, so that maybe she could repay the guilt. Diosa silenced her thoughts as she heard Bri speak once more ,If you… Well I guess… It is better me than someone else. I would like to think that it is better given freely than elsewise. Diosa ducked her head, her paws carrying her forward. Instinct wanting her to run, but she controlled herself. It was almost more painful this way for her, because it was being done in conscious thought. Last time she had merely attacked, but now she was deliberately biting into her friend’s neck… Diosa got close enough that without a doubt she would not miss, but as she went to bite her eyes snapped close. The only sensation she could feel was the warmth of blood seeping, pulsing even, over her tongue.

The feeling of emptiness in her stomach filled gradually, and as soon as she knew she had enough to last Diosa released her grip. Clean and swift. She crouched to the ground with her paws over her ears, waiting to hear those same blood curdling screams... or if she dared to open her eyes, she feared she might see the writhing figure again. So instead she hid like a coward, not wanting to see the havoc she brought.
