Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

how long will we blame the devils on our shoulders
and pose like angels on the outside

The manner in which she speaks reminds me of women from the past though I do not linger long upon them. They are but fleeting imagery, faces now dead or missing in the haze of time. Strange to think that I once kept friends - perhaps I have been too much a recluse. If I ponder upon such a thought, it is only for a moment, the smallest of flickers behind my eyes before she begins to speak once more.

I eye her for a moment as she mentions her intentions; is she asking about Asteraia or even Diveen's issue with Iromar? She is not direct, if that is her intention, and so I do not respond in kind. Instead, I nod in agreement. "One might call you a survivalist - or an opportunist. At least, that is how you could be read." I offer her such a thing with a raised brow, turning to her momentarily before returning my sights to the paths ahead of us. So, there is that, hm? Zelda's diplomat is a woman out for herself; Taviora keeps interesting company, though I suppose her neutrality would be a good virtue to keep close. If one only cares for themselves, at least their bias is obvious.

I cannot help but let out the smallest of laughs when she speaks next; I cast her a gaze wild with curiosity, a smirk of amusement breaking the line of my lip. "You are correct, diplomat. Nobody there will be there solely for fun or seeing old friends. Judgements will be made, alliances considered and rivalries tested. You have created quite the exhibition - set quite the stage." After all, she is entirely correct. Quite the clever ploy - and surely nobody would expect such cunning from Taviora, a pack known for their honor. "I wonder what this little bird might do with such knowledge though." I do not ask such a thing to her but rather, the very trees and salt around us. It has certainly made me think and I am driven to perhaps seek out some of Glorall's wolves to see just how...profitable such an idea might be for the hermit pack. Curious. Tell me, Zelda, how much you might miss your clever little diplomat?

We pause by the shore then and I instantly turn to her when she speaks the tongue; my smirk broadens. I suppose I overlooked it - there is Angel in her but not from the bloodline I often expected. In any case, I bow my head in acknowledgement. "Do you know how many come to Glorall to seek an ally?" I raise my brow, my eyes unwavering as I stare into hers, my head slowly tilting. "It is very few - seldom any. I take your interest in such a thing to mean you have ambitions broader than diplomacy." To come here for such a thing...ah, it is curious, perhaps almost strange. "Would you believe me if I told you I only seek to please my pack by accepting an invitation to such an event? Some have never seen a forest such as Taviora's." My gaze softens, my smirk replaced with the hint of a grin, as if to sell my point.
