Hey everyone! Thank you for contributing to the vote regarding steals. It seems as though everyone is in favor of abolishing them and letting raids take their place, which is great! We are happy to follow through with this, but there is something else we need to address before we can do so.
It was aptly pointed out that abolishing steals would, in turn, also abolish the ability of captives to steal for their own freedom. We would like to hear whether this is something you think should happen, or whether you would like for this feature of the game to be retained somehow. Chaos and I discussed the possible ways we might do that, so we will include our ideas in a list of options for you to pick from.
So, what do you think should happen to captives being able to steal for their own freedom? Please vote for your preferred option.
a) This feature (and the steal board) should be totally abolished
b) The steal board should be kept specifically for this feature
c) We should keep this feature but make it in-character (just as raids act as in-character steals) and get rid of the steal board*
*This would require new rules to be established. Chaos and I believe the easiest way to do this would be to treat it like raids - basically, if a captive horse wanted to escape, they would only need to post somewhere with "escape" in their subject line. If their captor did not chase them down and block their attempt within 3 days, then they would be successfully freed. However, we are open to hearing any other ideas you may have, whether it be a variation of this or something completely different.
Again, we would like to hear from everyone on this, so this vote will remain open until we have had as much feedback as possible.
