Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Alyse smiled as she studied the little early bloomer. It was a sure sign that spring was coming to this land which meant at the very least, that it would get warmer, not that she minded the cold. She didn’t mind a lot of things recently, mostly because it was all so new to her, so exciting. Soon she would find herself something to nibble on and then she’d begin to explore. As she peered with gold and silver eyes at the flower, she heard a faint tinkle of laughter.

Lifting her head from her paws, Alyse looked around just as another wolf appeared through the trees. She was friendly and seemed in good spirits and there was something about her that was curiously familiar. She frowned slightly, trying to place the wolf. She’d only met a handful of others in her travels but once introductions began, her memory of their first meeting sparked and Alyse surged to her feet even as the other female seemed to realize that they’d already met.

Her tail wagged animatedly as she bounced lightly on her gold-dipped paws, bouncing around the other wolf like an overly excited puppy. Had she just made a friend? Surely if you met a stranger twice that meant you were friends, right? She was going to operate on that assumption and with an excited boof she finally stopped bouncing long enough to greet the other wolf. ”Remington! I thought you were going North?”
