Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD,

Grey Wind had never seen a birth before, and it was more…bloody than he had anticipated. What he had expected to be a happy and magical moment between him and his mate, turned into the scariest moment of his life. Scarier than when his family was being attacked and he and his siblings had to flee from home. Scarier than when his parents had been killed. He had never thought that anything could truly go wrong, not like this. Not that he could possibly lose the love of his life. That was what brought him such fear. And with all the blood that was pouring from Macaria, he knew there was no way that she could survive such an ordeal. Something had gone wrong. Panic tore through him, but luckily she was still sane enough to give him direction. That there was someone that could still save her. Without really registering the words or what they meant, the male ran. His muscles and lungs protested, telling him to rest, to stop. But he couldn’t. He had to get to this Thackery in time to save Macaria. It seemed that he waited ages for the male to show himself at the caves. When the brute finally showed himself, Grey Wind immediately started rambling. Not even sure if he was making any sense, his panic overwhelming him again. But it seemed that Thackery understood, and he agreed to come thankfully.

And then he was running again, his body now screaming against him to pace himself, give himself a moments rest. But he couldn’t, they needed to get back in time. To save Macaria. Finally they made it back to the den, Grey Wind’s sides heaving from the effort, panting hard to get the oxygen that his body needed. He didn’t walk back in right away, letting Thackery go in and do whatever it was that he was going to do to save her. When the other male was inside, he pushed his head in, concern on all features of him as he caught site of his mate and their four new pups. For a moment the fear left him when he saw those pups. Two boys and two girls. All perfect. But then he saw Thackery leap at his mate, fangs sinking into her. He had to fight against all of his instincts to run in there and rip him off of her. But somehow he knew that this was the solution. He knew that Thackery was a vampire, he knew that if he turned Macaria that she wouldn’t die. What else was he to do? Let his mate die? He couldn’t do that.

The male could only watch in anger and frustration as Thackery let his venom get into her veins. He couldn’t help the protective growl from his escaping his throat though as he watched, glancing at the pups to make sure they were okay still. If at any point they were at risk of getting hurt, he would pull them out of harms way, keeping them safe until Macaria was…okay. She had to be okay. He didn’t even let his mind think about the possibility that what Thackery was doing could kill her. Surely that could not happen. Not after everything they had been through, not when they had a family now. He already loved his pups in ways he had never imagined he would, but he couldn’t imagine raising them without her. The male needed her in his life, she had to survive this. Yellow orbs continued to watch on, anxious and unsure of what the future now held for him and his mate. He knew that this would not only change Macaria’s life, but his as well. They would both have to change their lifestyle to stay together. But they had already done so much for each other already, that he knew they would do whatever it would take for it to work this time. They always figured it out.
