At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Only You Are the Life Among the Dead  |
_________________________________________________________________________ There was a warm summer breeze that ruffled her pelt as she walked towards the water, the sand bordering on uncomfortably warm under her paws. The cool water touched her paws, and she let out a contented sigh. The sun was out and warm, and the waves were gentle, making soft slapping sounds on the sand. It was the perfect peaceful spot to relax and just forget about responsibilities. As Khaleesi’s green orbs looked around, she caught site of how sparkly the water was today, almost in an unnatural way. But she figured it was just the bright sun playing tricks on her eyes. It had been a while since she had come out to the waters after the winter, so that probably had something to do with it as well. If she came here more often then it would look more natural to her. But her gaze kept lingering on the waters, and she waded in a bit more, the waves splashing further up her limbs. A shiver ran through her that she assumed had to do with the chill from the water, not realizing that it was magic from the lands entering her body as she stood in the water. As another shiver ran through her spine, she figured she should get out the water. Turning back to the sands, Khaleesi came out of the water, her limbs dripping with the lingering water that clung to her. But the sun was still beating down with strong heat, and so she lay down closely to the waves, letting them splash against her paws and tail tip every once and while. The femme lay her head on her paws, closing her eyes for a moment as she decided to take a nap. As she began to drift to sleep, there was a tingling along her spine. Lifting her head, she looked over her shoulder, but there was nothing there. The tingling grew stronger until it was bordering on pain, and then a sudden shot of pain went through her form. With a yelp she jumped to her paws, thinking there had to be something on her causing the pain. But there was nothing, just her normal white pelt. The pain intensified, first right behind her ears and traveling down her neck all the way to the base of her tail. Looking side to side, trying to see what was attacking her, Khaleesi grew almost frantic. How could she not see what was on her? Suddenly her green orbs grew wide though as she began to see something on her. It almost resembled feathers, but that was crazy. But then the pain began to ebb away, and there was no denying what had happened. Either she had truly lost her mind, or she had suddenly sprouted feathers from her back. They were almost identical to her pelt, a snowy white color but there was some black speckling to it as well. Khaleesi just stared at them, swiveling her head left and right, trying to determine if they were real. The femme rolled on her back, feeling the feathers tug and pull when she did so. The slight pain she felt when the feathers tugged at her skin was enough for her to know they were indeed real. How it happened, she had no idea. Flipping back to her sternum, she once more looked over her shoulder. The feathers ran from behind her ear to the base of her tail, and they almost blended in with her pelt but when she moved they moved in a different way, making it obvious that she had the unique feature added. She wasn’t sure what this meant, or how long they would stay. But it seemed the feathers were indeed real and attached to her, just as her fur was.
