Matianak was observing the destruction a bit more as Ehiyeh moved into more comfortable distance to hold conversation. The pale woman could easily hold conversation, or not depending on the situation. She would not deny she spoke a bit much, but it was useful in the majority of situations. It either threw whoever she was speaking to off their guard enough to say more than they intended, or she could weave her words just right to get the answer she wanted.
Her tail flicked, offering a bit of a wry smile as the older woman described a pair of wolves. Children or siblings perhaps? Not that it was entirely relevant. "Afraid the only dead things around are trees and gulls. Perhaps further inspection up the beach where the storm began? It hardly touched places a bit further inland," she said, gesturing with a paw for them to continue walking their initial direction.
Her response was calm and collected, despite Ehiyeh's rather demanding tone. Whoever she had lost, they were certainly important to her, even if they weren't blood. Blood only meant so much to Matianak. While important, even family must be stepped over to get where one wanted to go. "Lose your pups?" she inquired, though only mildly curious. It may not have been a genuine feeling, but she had every intention of learning more about some of her packmates. If she was to maintain a position here, which Matianak was rather hell-bent on now that Blackthorne had offered a place among his Court of Nightmares in Iromar..
